The Cutest Gingham Top for $49

TOP: Lost & Wander // JEANS: BP. // BAG: Cult Gaia (Exact Dupe, less expensive HERE) // SHOES: Express (On sale, also comes in black!) // EARRINGS: SugarFix by Baublebar (similar HERE) // Sunglasses: Francesca's

Happy Good Friday!  One of my favorite things about Spring is all the bright colors that come back.  Don't get me wrong, I am a sucker for neutrals like black, grey and taupe... but there is something about wearing bright colors that just puts me in a good mood and ultimately makes me feel better about the day!  I found this adorable off the shoulder gingham top for only $49 and immediately fell in love with the bright color embroidery.  It's such a nice material (super lightweight) and just feels extremely comfortable on.  The sleeves are puffed out a little, which gives it a cute feminine feel and perfect for dressing up or down!  I wore this top with a denim skirt (when the temps were just a taaaad bit warmer, and it looks just as cute tucked in.)

I also wanted to talk about these jeans for a second because holy cannoli, these are the best!!  They are affordable (only $69!) and have the perfect distressing, especially the bottom hem!  I will say that these are probably one of the most comfortable pairs of jeans I own, and the color is great for a super casual look.  These run TTS and I am wearing a size 4!

I hope everyone has an amazing Easter weekend and gets to celebrate with friends and family! xoxo

Macy's Wedding Registry Happy Honeymoon Sweepstakes!

This post is sponsored by Macy's.  As always, all opinions are my own.  Thank you for supporting brands that make Marvelous in the Midwest possible!

I've really been on a whim lately, finishing up my last minute registry favorites as we start to send out the bridal shower invitations!  One of my favorite parts so far (and most fun, in my opinion) is being able to register for things we will use once we buy a new place and can finally start settling in as an actual family (!!)  Macy's has always been one of my favorite department stores, especially for buying shoes... so when I knew I needed to start thinking about registry gifts, I headed to macys.com to get started!

Before I get into all of the reasons to register at Macy’s, let me tell you about a sweepstakes they’re running this month...

You could win an AMAZING honeymoon sweepstakes just for creating a registry at Macy's, win- win!  The grand prize winner will receive:

  • an all expenses paid honeymoon (7 night stay at Centara Ras Fushi Resort & Spa in the Maldives)
  • $5,000 cash to put towards airfare
  • $2,000 Macy's gift card
  • 4 pieces of Delsey luggage

Grand prize totaling $12,780!!

This sweepstakes ends on 3/31/18, so you will need to act fast to enter!! *No Purchase Necessary. Open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States including District of Columbia, 18 years and older with a Qualified Registry. Ends 3/31/18. For Official Rules, visit macys.com/weddingsweeps. Void where prohibited.

Here are 5 reasons why I would suggest any brides-to-be create a registry with Macy's:
  • They have an extensive selection of top brands and exclusive products.  They carry brands such as Le Creuset (my favorite!) Dyson and Martha Stewart (exclusive to Macy's.)
  • They offer a "newlywed discount" which means you will get 20% off most of your remaining registry items for 6 months after your wedding, and 10% off furniture and mattresses.
  • It's a one-stop shop for all your registry needs.  From outfits for the shower, engagement photos, rehearsal dinner, etc to luggage for the honeymoon and even gifts for your wedding party, Macy's truly has it all!
  • They have lots of in-store services & events where they often host couples and throw fun parties where you can complete your registries while you eat, sip and listen to a DJ!

Here are some of my must have items!

ONE // TWO // THREE // FOUR // FIVE // SIX // SEVEN // EIGHT // NINE

Good Luck & Happy Registering!! xoxo

BLONDE Hoodie

HOODIE: Brunette The Label // SKIRT: STS Blue // SUNGLASSES: Francesca's // SHOES: ADIDAS

Good morning, everyone!! I wanted to share a fun look with you all that is perfect both for the blondies out there as well as the brunettes!  This sweatshirt is seriously SO comfortable... it's really soft inside and has the cutest raw hem detail so it's not like your typical baggy style sweatshirt.  It's cropped, but definitely long enough to wear with a high waisted skirt or jeans.  If you want to go super comfy, the brand also makes matching sweatpants which are just as adorable!!  I found this skirt a couple weeks ago and have to say- i'm obsessed!  The uneven hem definitely makes it more unique than your typical denim skirt (is anyone else super excited that denim skirts are back in style?!) It's also under $60, which makes it a great deal and perfect staple item for spring!

On another note, can anyone else relate to the fact that it's now Spring and SO cold outside?! It feels more like the middle of Winter, then even being close to Spring weather!! Thank God for a couple warm weather trips coming up!

The Perfect Dress for Easter

DRESS: Banana Republic Factory (on sale, also comes in black!) // BAG: Urban Expressions- Similar HERE // HEELS: Steve Madden // EARRINGS: Lisi Lerch

Hi Everyone!! With Easter only two weeks away, I wanted to share this perfect dress I found just in time!  Currently it's 50% off and also comes in black (the perfect LBD!)  What I especially love about this dress, is that the straps are removable so that you can also wear it strapless and the length hits just above the knee so it's a great length for anyone (and can even be worn to church!) The yellow is also even prettier in person... and would look even better with a tan ;) On another note, sadly this bag is sold out, but I found a super similar one still in stock here.  I've been seeing a lot of these round bags lately, and it's definitely a trend I want to stick around!

Does anyone have plans for Easter weekend? We are trying out the restaurant that we are holding our Rehearsal dinner at, and then heading somewhere warm the following weekend!  I can't wait!! xoxo

Wayfair Registry Picks

This post is in collaboration with Wayfair.  As always, all opinions are my own.  Thank you for supporting brands that make Marvelous in the Midwest possible!

It's absolutely crazy to think that Matt and I have been engaged for 8 months now, and we only have 6 months to go before the big day!  I honestly thought it would be a little more stressful then it actually has been, and I am doing everything myself (no planner!) One of my favorite things so far has been getting to register at some amazing stores, including Wayfair! Wayfair's registry started back in September of 2016 and has easily become a favorite for engaged couples as it contains over 7 million products, making it a one stop shop for everything from furniture to home decor to bakeware (and everything in between.) I've also noticed that due to their extensive collection, both Matt and I have easily agreed on what items to choose... a major plus! With that being said, I wanted to show you all some of my favorite registry picks to hopefully give you a better idea of what to register for when creating your own. Le Crueset has recently become one of my favorite brands of cookware, and they literally have it all! I love how everything comes in tons of different colors, making it super fun to spice up your kitchen.  I personally like the more traditional colors, so I chose the white cookware and dinnerware!  I also found this beautiful bar cart for around $200, which is an amazing deal because it looks way more expensive.  You can also never go wrong with a KitchenAid mixer.  Like the Le Crueset products, this also comes in multiple colors and looks amazing sitting on the kitchen counter... it's definitely a classic piece that will be used way more often then you think (especially if you're a baker like me!)

Another thing that I love about the Wayfair registry, is how they offer group gifting.  If you're dreaming about bigger items such as a sofa, bed or couch but can't imagine expecting your guests to spend that much on one item... this feature allows multiple guests to contribute and go in on it together!  Win-Win for everyone :)

Check out more of my registry picks HERE and create your own registry HERE.  Also, Wayfair was nice enough to provide all of my readers with a $25 off $50 code... head to Wayfair and use code MITM25 at checkout to apply! Happy Shopping!! xoxo

Kohl's Perfect Pair

This post is sponsored by
Kohl’s. I was paid for this post and received the included intimates as compensation.

Shopping for undergarments, is probably one of my least favorite things to do.  I always worry about the fit, the quality, and how long they will last... especially because I don't want to spend a ton on something that will end up falling apart in the washing machine!  I try to update and refresh my drawer around every 6 months, so I definitely look for products that will last.  Kohl's has always been one of my favorite stores to shop for undergarments, due to their extensive department and amazing quality of undies and bras.  Whether I shop online, or in the store- I always get exceptional customer service and great deals!

When looking for the perfect undergarments, I always look for both classic & everyday pieces, as well as fun & detailed ones.  I loved the fact that Kohl's has a Bra Fit Quiz on their website, that allows you to find out which one(s) would be perfect for you, before purchasing.  After I took the quiz, I headed to my local store to do some shopping.  I immediately fell in love with these adorable lace bralette's by Maidenform (which comes in 7 different colors!) and matching cheeky undies.  The price on both of these was exactly where I was comfortable spending, so I ended up getting two different colors.  I also wanted to find a new sports bra, because with a wedding coming up in just 6 months, I've been trying to get to the gym more often.  I was pleasantly surprised with their selection of sports bras, and found the cutest patterns, including this one by Maidenform.  These bras are also really supportive and comfortable at the same time.  My favorite pair of undies that I picked up, was this pink striped pair by Jockey.  They are by far the most comfortable pair of underwear I own and feel so soft on the skin!  What I love about Kohls, is they have something for everyone... whether you're a teenager or senior, any one & every one can shop at Kohl's.

Want to get your hands on your own cute intimates?! Kohl's is running THREE amazing sales, offering:

  • $10 off $40 Intimates (with promo code INTIMATES10) 3/2 - 3/18
  • a General Semi-Annual Intimates Event 3/2 - 3/26
  • $19.99 Bonus Buy Bras 3/2 - 3/11 (These are 12 bras featured as top customer-rated bras!)
If you want to save big, head to Kohl's! xoxo

The Perfect Spring-Time Dress

DRESS: Leith (also comes in black floral!) // SHOES: Vionic // NECKLACE: Gorjana // BRACELETS: David Yurman // BAG: Gucci // SUNGLASSES: DIFF

Happy Friday!! I could not be more excited for the weekend to finally be here, especially because it's supposed to be sunny all weekend!  It's been rainy and cold in Chicago, but spring is on the horizon and I can't wait to wear this fun dress even more when it finally gets warm.  I was drawn to this dress originally for Valentine's day, because I love the color, but realized this is actually the perfect spring dress for Easter, church, bridal showers, etc, or for taking on Spring Break (if you still get that kind of thing!! haha) It's only $55 and also comes in a black floral print, which is just as cute.  I paired it with these adorable ankle lace up espadrilles by Vionic, which are SO comfortable.  The wedge isn't too high and Vionic is known for their comfort... so if you're looking for a cute pair of espadrille wedges for spring that won't kill your feet, you will love these!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!! xoxo
