How I Asked My Bridesmaids

Today's post is probably the most fun one I've ever done (and highly requested!)...so I am excited to show you all how I asked my bridesmaids to be in my wedding next year! I knew I wanted to do something cute & fun ever since getting engaged, so I figured this was the best way to tie it all together!

I bought THESE plain white gift bags from Hobby Lobby and had my friend Delaina create custom calligraphy on each bag!  Check out her Delaina J Designs for all of your calligraphy needs... she is amazing! I used plain gold and gold/white polka dot tissue paper to stuff the bags and wrap the gifts.

I absolutely loved these personalized bride/bridesmaid drawings by JesMarried, where I could create the look of each girl in wedding party and frame it instead of giving a card.  I truly believe this approach is way more personal and sentimental than a typical card.  I also found some adorable frames at Homegoods to frame them, so they wouldn't get bent or damaged.

I picked up some mini bottles of Chandon Rose because I loved the pink tops! I found them on sale at Target for only $8 and used these adorable save the date labels on the bottles from Take it Personally by Merill.

To go along with the mini bottles of champagne, I got each one of my girls a customized champagne flute and chose to write their names in gold because thats the color I want to do for my bridesmaid dresses! These champagne flutes can be found at Bubbly + Bash, a super cute one-stop shop for all your party needs!

Voluspa candles are my absolute favorite and they smell amazing, so naturally they were one of the first things I picked out! I bought 3 different scents, Macaron, Saijo Persimmon and Prosecco Bellini and wanted to keep them all to myself (I may have ended up buying myself a few too...)  These are the perfect gift and would make for any birthday or holiday gift as well!

I came across this company, L' Atelier Unique last year and fell in love with all of their monogram straw clutches and bags! You can customize these clutches with your initials or cute phrases and choose the color of your paint and pompoms.  I decided to go with black and white because I wanted something more neutral, and even got a cute white initial clutch with my new initials on it... which will be perfect for the big day. :)

Asking the girls to be in my wedding was so much fun and I know they all loved their gifts!  Planning a wedding can get stressful, but I've decided to let myself just have fun and appreciate every second of it, as I know this next year will fly by.  Since I am not hiring a coordinator, WeddingWire has become my best friend.  There are so many amazing resources on WeddingWire from finding a venue, photographer, caterer, etc to forum boards with other brides answering all of your hard questions.  I also recently started creating my wedding website on there and hope to have it done soon- I can't wait to show you all!

xoxo

Holiday Gift Guide: Gift Sets Under $50!

Happy Friday! It's officially started snowing, which means that Christmas is finally near and it's time to start holiday shopping! I will be doing a few gift guides throughout the holiday season, but I wanted to start with one of my favorites- Holiday gift sets! These would make perfect gift for any women in your life- mom, sister, bestie, etc and all of them are under $50!

My absolute favorite, and if you're just going to buy one would have to be this MAC face illuminator kit.  It comes with the cutest sequin bag, a face brush and the most gorgeous face color I've ever used- not to mention the packaging is spot on.  I can pretty much guarantee any beauty lover would adore receiving this gift under their tree this year!  I also recently came across the brand Being, which is sold in Ulta stores and online and this bath kit is amazing! The kind I received was the 'Salted Macadamia' and it smells so good, I wish I could eat it!  It's only $18 and includes the most adorable 'I don't give a sip' tumbler, body spray, lotion, body wash and a loofa... such an amazing value!  If nails are your thing, this nail collection by Butter is currently on sale for only $20 and contains the prettiest winter colors.

Happy shopping! xoxo

Wedding Essentials w/ Babbleboxx

The other day I came home to an awesome wedding surprise from my friends over at Babblebox!  The box was curated with so many goodies that I know will surely help along the way with wedding planning.  I wanted to give you all a look into what was included in the box and where you can shop each item for yourself.

Maidenform Shapewear- These undergarments are perfect for hiding lines and creating a seamless look underneath tight-fitting clothes.  They are anti-static, so your dresses won't cling to them and I've noticed they really keep cool so your not sweating in them all day long! I own a few pairs of these (in different colors) and I swear they are a lifesaver.

Cinzano Prosecco- Pop the bubbly you're getting a hubby!! ;) If you're a prosecco drinker like me, you will love this one! It's one of Italy's most iconic wines, originated in Piedmont, Italy.  We plan to go to Italy on our honeymoon next year, so I can't wait to cheers all the time with this wine! It's right around the $15 mark, so it's a great price for a great wine.

Diamonds International- Included in this box was this gorgeous Safi Kilima Tanzanite bolo bracelet. This bracelet is offered in multiple carat sizes and price points so it would be the ultimate gift for bridesmaids, mother in law, etc.  I also love how it could be worn as your "something blue" and all year round!

Nair Wax Strips- I was so excited for these Nair strips because I've heard such great things from people who have used them before! If one thing is for sure, I want silky smooth skin on the big day and these will definitely help achieve that! The strips are dermatologist recommended and super easy to use with little to no mess... they are also supposed to last up to 8 weeks, perfect for continuing on the honeymoon!

Also: Enter HERE for a chance to WIN a sample of Nair™ Wax Ready-Strips for Face & Bikini! Contest runs 10/23 - 11/8. This giveaway is sponsored by Babbleboxx.com on behalf of Nair. Open to US Residents only.

BRIDES Magazine- Since getting engaged, this magazine has become my all-time favorite. This truly is the holy-grail of wedding planning as it contains just about everything and anything to help you prepare for the big day. You can sign up for BRIDES Magazine to receive 6 issues on print AND digital for only $10 or 12 issues for only $16- way less then buying them in the store! You also get a free bridal tote with your signup.

If you have any questions about any of the products I received, let me know- I am happy to discuss wedding planning with any brides to be!  Happy Planning! xoxo
