Embroidered Off the Shoulder Dress

DRESS: Chicwish (c/o) // WEDGES: Marc Fisher // BAG: Sold out (Similar HERE) // EARRINGS: Baublebar (c/o) // SUNGLASSES: ILY Couture // BRACELET: David Yurman

Happy Thursday, friends! I am super excited to be heading back to Wisconsin tonight for the 4th and a nice little vacation away from the city.  I am going to see Luke Bryan (and Hanson) perform at Summerfest tonight... I can't wait!  If you haven't heard of Summerfest before, it's the worlds largest music festival held in Milwaukee every year.  There are so many good performers this year and it's relatively inexpensive to attend.  I highly recommend coming out to Milwaukee to check it out!!

Anyway... I recently got this dress from one of my favorite online retailers, Chicwish.  As you may know I have an obsession with both off the shoulder dresses and embroidered prints, so I'd have to say this dress is pretty perfect!  It's super light weight and easy to throw on for a day around town or even dressed up at night.  I paired it with my favorite platform wedges (they are seriously so comfortable) and my gold drop earrings from Baublebar!  I swear I have these earrings in 10 different colors, they go with everything!!

Does anyone have anything fun planned for the 4th of July?! We always go to my hometown to watch the parade... I also can't wait to see some fireworks!! xoxo

Planning In Style with Erin Condren

Happy Monday!! I just got back from an amazing weekend in Traverse City, Michigan celebrating a good friend getting married, and I have to say... I can't wait to go back! I will be recapping my stay soon, so make sure to check back!

A couple weeks ago, I had the privilege of attending an Erin Condren event at one of my favorite places in Chicago, Dylans Candy Bar.  Dylans is so fun and colorful, so everytime I am there I feel so happy!  At this event, there were passed apps and delicious cocktails that included candy raspberries that were SO good (I may or may not have kept going back for more.) The room was also filled to the brim with fun Erin Condren goodies, including the most gorgeous watercolor pillows I had ever seen... I wanted everything! I had surprisingly never heard of Erin Condren before, but I have to say, since being introduced my life has changed- for the better!  I am usually a pretty organized person, but the products that she makes will organize your life 10x more.  The brand is specifically known for their LifePlanner, which is how I now organize my days, weeks and months-- in lots of colors and in true celebration of each day! Everything is pretty much perfect and right in line with my style/aesthetic, so I was super excited when I got the opportunity to customize my own LifePlanner™.  You are able to personalize every LifePlanner™ with your initials, monogram or name, free of charge!  I went with the adorable watercolor cactus print with my initials, because I kind of have a thing for cute little cacti.  The LifePlanner™ came in the mail with way more than I expected... tons of stickers, markers, sticky notes and even a little hardbound notebook (all sold separately).  I truly felt like a little kid again, organizing all my Lisa Frank goodies. Anyone else remember those?!

Chambray & Lace Romper

ROMPEREndless Rose // SANDALSSam & Libby (under $25 and come in 4 colors!) // BAG: Closet Access // EARRINGS7 Charming Sisters (use code MarvelousMidwest15 for 15% off!) // CUFF BRACELET7 Charming Sisters (use code MarvelousMidwest15 for 15% off!) // WATCHTimex // BRACELETDavid Yurman // SUNGLASSESILY Couture

Happy Monday, everyone! I recently found this adorable chambray/lace romper and couldn't wait to share it! It's still in stock, in all sizes but definitely won't last long!! The detailing on this is amazing and even prettier in person so it's definitely an outfit staple that can be dressed up or down and runs true to size (I am wearing a Small.)  The price point is a little higher than I'd usually spend on rompers, but I've already worn it a handful of times, which makes it worth it.  I also can not get enough of these bow slide sandals.  They look identical to the Sam Edelman ones but for 1/3 the price and come in 4 different colors (all which are back in stock!)  They did take a couple times of wearing them to break them in, but now I throw these on with everything.  I got both the blue/white stripe and the pink, but I am thinking about getting the other two colors as well, because who can have enough cute sandals?!

I was also recently introduced to this company called 7 Charming Sisters that make the cutest jewelry.  The price point on everything is super reasonable and I love the fact that their are 7 "sisters" who have their own individual styles and they are shown through each item, so depending on if you are a "social butterfly", "super mom" or "life of the party" there is something for everyone.  I am obsessed with these tassel earrings and get compliments every single time I wear them.  Another plus?! You can get 15% off your purchase if you use code MarvelousMidwest15... Happy shopping! xoxo

Blue & White Lace Dress

DRESSJOA // SHOESSam Edelman // BAGCloset Access // SUNGLASSESBP. // EARRINGSBaublebar // BRACELETDavid Yurman // WATCHTimex

This blue and white lace dress has become one of my favorites so far this summer.  It's super light weight and flowy and has the cutest bow ties in the back, plus it's under $100! I also was drawn to the ruffle sleeves, which makes this dress super feminine and fun.  I would easily dress this up for dinner or down for a day around town with a jean jacket and some sandals... and it would be perfect for the 4th of July!!  I have also been pairing these nude heels with everything lately.  They literally go with everything, come in a million colors, and are SO comfortable.  The block heel definitely helps relieve some pressure on the feet and I lasted all day and night in these with no problems.  If you're in the market for any color heels, I highly recommend these.

Does anyone have any fun plans for the weekend? It's been in the 90's in Chicago the past week, which is amazing and definitely calls for nothing else but sitting at the pool or beach. Luckily my building has a pool because I plan to be there all day long on both Saturday and Sunday! xoxo

Father's Day Shopping with Woodfield Mall

Last week I headed over to one of my favorite malls in the country, Woodfield Mall, for a day of Father's day shopping!  My dad is one of the hardest people to shop for, mainly because he already has everything he could possibly want/need, so I knew I'd at least be able to find something he'd love at the nearly 300-store mall.  Woodfield Mall (a Simon mall) is one of the largest malls in the US, and is located about 30 minutes from downtown Chicago.  Because it is home to all of my favorite stores, it was a huge challenge not to shop for myself while I was there!

Since I got to the mall around noon, I definitely needed some fuel to get my through the day, so I decided to have lunch at Kinfork, which is a classic american-barbeque restaurant located on the main level between JC Penney and Nordstrom.  I had the buffalo chicken wrap and sweet potato fries and they did not disappoint!  I also picked up a gift card for dad, because I know he'd love this place just as much as I did.

Tommy Bahama is one of his favorite retailers, so I was happy to see that they had a store here! I spent about an hour trying to figure out the perfect gift (and size) and the sales associates couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating!  My gift is a secret (don't want dad to see), but how cute are those shorts with the little sharks on them?!  I wanted to snag a pair for my boyfriend as well!

Next I headed over to the BOSE store, because dad can never have enough headphones.  He is obsessed with watching movies on his iPad... at home and when he travels, so I thought a pair of nice headphones would be perfect! I especially loved the Soundlink Bluetooth Headphones, they are a featherlight weight and have an advanced 2-way microphone system for clear calls in windy or noisy places... meaning you can connect it to your iPhone to take calls!  I also really liked the sleek style... they are under $200 and come in black and white.

If you are looking for the perfect Father's Day gift, or just want to do a little R&R for yourself and are located in Chicago- I highly recommend you travel the 30 minutes out to Woodfield Mall to shop! I love to get out of the city once in a while, so this was the perfect little escape (they even have rolled ice cream!!)  With around 300 stores and endless dining options (think Cheesecake Factory, sushi, bbq, PF Changs) there is definitely something for everyone here.

Thanks to Woodfield Mall for sponsoring this post.  As always, all opinions are my own.

Lilly in Palm Beach

DRESS: Lilly Pulitzer // WEDGES: Jeffrey Campbell // BAG: Trendlee // NECKLACE: Baublebar // EARRINGS: Kendra Scott // SUNGLASSES: Ray-Ban // BRACELETS: David Yurman and Etsy // RING: Kendra Scott // BEACH TOTE: Lindroth Designs

With summer finally here, I am obsessing over this dress the Lilly team sent over.  I wore this back when I was in Palm Beach (the only spot where it's 100% appropriate to wear Lilly Pulitzer every single day of the week) and plan to live in it all summer long as well.  The print is different from the usual Lily prints of palm trees and cute little animals, but it's super versitale making it the perfect choice for a casual summer night or a dressier summer wedding.  I have to mention as well, that the fabric is SO comfortable and I think the assymetrical hem gives it the perfect added touch!

While I was in Palm Beach, I was also delivered this gorgeous tote from Lindroth Designs, another Palm Beach staple.  They hand make gorgeous monogram bags in an array of different colors (21 to be exact!).  This bag is so big and perfect for hauling everything to the pool or beach.  I chose the 'baby pink' stripe because of my obsession with pink, but I think the black one is so cute as well.  If you are looking for an adorable summer beach bag... this one is the perfect choice!

Palm Beach is definitely one of my favorite vacation spots and I am already dreaming about going back, but I guess the 80 degree Chicago sunshine will have to do for now! xoxo

Summer Brights

TOPNordstrom // JEANSTopshop // BAGShein (Similar HERE) // SANDALSTarget (similar HERE and HERE) // SUNGLASSESNordstrom // EARRINGSBaublebar // NECKLACELove Always

Happy Friday, everyone! It was so nice to have a short week, but for some reason it still felt super long! I wore this outfit when I was in Florida, but it's finally nice enough in Chicago (it's in the 80's today!) to wear it here too.  I love how light and flowy this top is, it's super comfortable and the color is even prettier in person!  This will definitely be one of my go-to tops all summer long, and I want to get it in the 4 other colors it comes in as well! Also, can we talk about how stinkin cute this bag is?! I got it for under $30, and it fit's so much stuff! Perfect for shopping or the beach. :)

I am super excited to have a low-key chill weekend.  Does anyone have any exciting plans?  I'm getting sushi with my boyfriend tonight, but I secretly kind of want to see Wonderwoman... anyone else?!  I typically don't like those types of movies, but for some reason this one looks really good!!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!! xoxo
