Stripes & Ruffles...

TOPJ.Crew (40% off sale!) // JEANSLevi's (under $50 and SO comfortable!) // WEDGESSole Society // BAG: Sold out, Similar HERE // NECKLACELove Always by Syd (currently 30% off with code "SPARKLE" // WATCHTimex // BRACELETJ.Crew Factory // EARRINGSBaublebar

Happy Friday!! It's finally New Years eve weekend and I am off to Florida.  This look is one of my favorites from Christmas weekend.  This top was sold out, but recently came back in stock- and I suggest you grab it fast... especially because it's currently on sale!  The ruffle detailing and the stripes are what really caught my eye.  I actually saw it in the window and immediately went in to purchase it... I didn't even try it on, so I am glad it fit!

On another note, I got to shoot at the Langham hotel in Chicago which is absolutely stunning.  If you ever visit Chicago, make sure to check it out.  They have the most beautiful lobby and also do a high-tea which I am definitely going to go back for.  All of the decorations for Christmas were so chic and right in line with how I envision my future home looking like. Ha ha!

Take off time! Hope everyone has a wonderful New Years!! xoxo

Bell Sleeves and Over the Knee Boots (On SALE!)

JEANSNordstrom // TOP: Sold out (Similar/ Same Brand HERE) c/o // BOOTSTarget (under $20!) // BAGGiGi New York c/o // EARRINGSKendra Scott // WATCHTimex c/o

Happy week after Christmas!! Does anyone else think Christmas flew by?  Only a couple of days until it's time to ring in the New Year... yikes!

I wanted to share one of my favorite tops from Waverly Grey, which sadly sold out, however, I linked a similar one (different print).  Waverly Grey always makes the cutest clothes but I especially fell in love with this top, mainly because of the bell sleeves. :)  Another thing I've been living in lately, are these boots from Target.  Target is a go-to for trendy pieces and these boots are almost identical to the Dolce Vita ones that retail for over $200.  The good news?! These boots are now on sale for under $20 AND free shipping!! If you need a good over-the-knee boot, I would highly recommend snagging some before they're gone.

Does anyone have any fun plans for New Years? I am heading down to Florida on Friday for 8 days, so I am super excited to get away into the warmth for some relaxation and to ring in 2017. xoxo

Holiday Bar Cart w/ LaCroix

LaCroix Holiday Variety Pack (sold at Mariano's or Costco Stores in the Chicagoland area)
Streamers

Christmas is only 4 days away and I finally got around to getting my bar cart all ready! While it may not 'scream' holiday- I've got all the essentials to make it a perfect Christmas... just with a more feminine flair!  I, of course, had to add LaCroix to my cart, because it's my boyfriend and I's drink of choice.  This LaCroix Holiday Variety Pack is the perfect gift for anyone on your list as you can get it at any Mariano's location and it's only $7.50!!  The pack comes with my personal favorites- Cran-Raspberry, Berry and Tangerine.  We love to add a splash of it to our vodka with a squeeze of lemon or lime, for the perfect cocktail.  I went a little crazy and bought two packs for my boyfriend for Christmas, and I know this will be his favorite gift!

I am getting so excited for Christmas and can't wait to have my girls over for a pre-Christmas celebration and exchange gifts.  Christmas truly is the most wonderful time of the year... let's just hope it snows this year!!

Enjoy some of my favorite LaCroix Cocktail Recipes!

Tequila + Tangerine

.75 ounce grapefruit juice
.75 ounce sweet Italian vermouth (like Cocchi di Torino)
1 ounce tequila blanco
Tangerine LaCroix

Combine grapefruit juice, vermouth, and tequila in a tall glass over ice. Add Tangerine LaCroix to fill. Pop in a straw and enjoy.

Berry Cobbler

1 handful fresh mixed berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, etc.)
½ ripe mango, peeled, pitted, and chopped into 1-inch cubes
3.5 ounces fortified wine or 2 ounces gin/spirit of your choice
Berry LaCroix
Mint sprig for garnish (optional)

Muddle the fruit delicately in a heavy-bottomed pint glass, just enough to release their own juices. Add liquor to the glass and stir to combine. Fill pint glass with the ice, top with Berry LaCroix, and garnish with a sprig of mint, if using.

Simple red wine spritzer

1.5 ounces light- or medium-bodied red table wine
4.5 ounces Berry LaCroix
3-4 berries (blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, or a mix) to garnish

Fill a standard white wine glass with ice. Add red wine and top with LaCroix. Stir gently and garnish with berries.

xoxo

Thank you LaCroix for sponsoring this post... as always, all opinions are my own.

Dresses To Ring In 2017

SEQUINS (Left to Right): onetwothreefourfivesixseven
VELVET (Left to Right): eightnineteneleventwelvethirteenfourteen

With Christmas coming up this weekend and New Year's Eve right around the corner, it's time to start thinking about what perfect party dress you'll be rocking this year!  The sequin trend has been around forever- and is truly classic... so you can never go wrong with one of the sequin options above.  However, if you want to stand out this year, I highly recommend choosing a little velvet number.  Velvet is back in full swing and there are so many adorable dresses that would be perfect for that NYE or Holiday party this year.  I especially love this one and this one- how gorgeous are these colors?!

I will be in Florida for New Years, so I am definitely opting for a sleeveless dress- as both styles of these dresses can get very warm.  What is everyone else going to do to ring in the New Years?! xoxo

Holiday Festive with J. Crew Factory

VEST: J.Crew Factory // SHIRT: J.Crew Factory // BAG: Sold out, Similar HERE  // BOOTS: Target // RING: Kendra Scott // EARRINGS:  Kendra Scott

Because it's been in the single digits (yes, SINGLE) in Chicago, I have been bundling up in warm vests everyday.  This one from J.Crew Factory has definitely been helping, considering my office is freezing as well.  I especially love how festive it is, pairing it with a fun plaid blouse and some over the knee boots.  I am a big fan of pattern mixing, so I love how the plaid and polka dots go together so well!

I had been looking for a good pair of over the knee boots for what seems like forever, and almost settled on a pair of Dolce Vita ones from Saks before I came across these beauties.  They are actually DV as well, but from Target and 1/3 the price and come in both brown and black.  For that price you could have both pairs, right?! :)  The wedge is not too tall and they are super comfortable- I just have to get them treated because our roads are covered in salt and snow.

Christmas is just around the corner and I still need to finish some shopping... did anyone else wait till last minute, or is it just me?! ha ha.  It I haven't been in the Midwest for Christmas in years, but I will be this year... and it's supposed to snow on Christmas for once!! yay! xoxo

Dressed in Gray

SWEATERLeith (currently on sale!) Similar HERE // LEGGINGSBP. // BOOTSCatherine Malandrino (under $100!) // BAGGucci // NECKLACEBaublebar // RINGSForever 21 and Kendra Scott // EARRINGSBaublebar // WATCH: Daniel Wellington // BRACELETJ. Crew

It's Friday and almost a week away from Christmas! Does everyone have their Christmas shopping done already?! I feel like I still have so much to do between now and then. Yikes!

When it comes to Chicago, the winters here are brutal- which is why I pretty much live in sweaters and boots.  One of my all time favorite sweaters is this one by Leith (currently on sale too!).  I love the oversized feel, because let's face it- in the winter we tend to eat way more!!  I also love the the Stuart Wiseman over the knee boots, but couldn't justify spending upwards of $700 on them... so I found these almost exact dupes from Nordstrom Rack.  They are super comfortable and stay up on my leg unlike a lot of different styles I've tried.

I have such a busy weekend! Tonight I have an influencer happy hour, tomorrow a fun Holiday Cocktail mixing class and Sunday- the Packers vs. Bears game.  The high on Sunday is supposed to be 3, so I am going to freeze.  Wish me luck!! xoxo

The Most Comfortable Booties...

BLACK TEETarget // PONCHOTarget // LEGGINGSNordstrom // BOOTIESNaot c/o // NECKLACEKendra Scott // RINGKendra Scott

When it comes to cold weather, ponchos and wraps are definitely at the top of my list for both style and comfort.  I recently came across this fringe poncho from Target (yes, Target!!) for under $50 and immediately fell in love with both the style and how warm it is.  I sometimes even use this as a blanket... that's how comfy it is!

Another thing I really love about this outfit, is these shoes from Naot.  If you've never heard of Naot before, they are an international company who have been around since the 40's! Because of the flexible, shock absorbent foot beds, these booties are super comfortable and alleviates the pain and fatigue that come from walking around in uncomfortable shoes all day.  The outside of the booties are made from superior quality Italian leathers and suede, making them so easy to break into.  For these booties, I went up a half size and they fit perfect.

This week is SO busy, anyone else?! I have a ton of fun events going on, so make sure you follow me on Snapchat (@arac03) or Insta-stories!! xoxo

Bell Sleeves and Leopard...

SWEATER: Sold out (Similar HERE and HERE) // JEANS: Topshop // CLUTCH: Etsy // BOOTIES: Sole Society (similar HERE) // NECKLACE & BRACELET: Ocean Bella Hawaii and BRACELET (use code MARVELOUS15 for 15% off!) // RING: Kendra Scott  // WATCH: TIMEX

I don't usually gravitate towards orange when picking clothes, but when I saw this sweater (and felt how soft it was) I knew I needed to branch out a little... and I am so glad I did!  Sadly, this sweater was so popular it sold out, then came back, then sold out again so you can't find it online (you may be able to find it in a Nordstrom store though!)  I did find two sweaters that are super similar, so if you like bell sleeves, this one or this one would be perfect.  Another thing I can't stop wearing are these booties (similar ones here).  They are seriously the most comfortable booties I own, even with the wedge.  For as much walking as I do, I was scared of these at first, but I swear- I could walk a mile in them and not feel a thing!

I recently got introduced to this adorable jewelry company- Ocean Bella Hawaii.  The store has the cutest necklaces and bracelets... especially this necklace and this bracelet (how pretty is that stone?!) As a plus, she is giving my readers and followers 15% off with code "MARVELOUS15"!!  Head on over there for a trendy jewelry fix! xoxo
