The weekend is finally here!  Does anyone have any exciting plans?  I plan to take this weekend to just relax, relax, relax.  Hopefully get some pool time in, these past couple weeks in Chicago have been so warm!  If you've been following the blog for some time now, I'm sure you've come to the conclusion that I love finding fun walls.  This pink one, I believe, was made for me!  It is the perfect bubblegum pink color and is so close to my house.  This Leith skirt I picked up from Nordstrom is perfect for transitioning from Summer to Fall.  I knew immediately it would go perfect with this amazing bodysuit (can you believe they are back in style?!) or would be ideal with boots and a jacket in fall.  It does run a little on the bigger side, so I would suggest sizing down.  These heels will always be one of my favorites as well.  They are under $30 and the floral print is so gorgeous!! I have worn these to a couple weddings in the past and get compliments every time.  They also come in a ton of different colors and patterns, so there is sure to be a style for everyone.

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!! xoxo

The Perfect Pair with Kohl's

Thank you Kohl's for sponsoring this post.  I was paid for this post and received the included underwear as compensation. As always, all opinions are my own.

When it comes to shopping for intimates, it can be a strenuous process, because let's face it- you're either the girl who carefully selects a bra and underwear to coordinate with your outfit for the day or the girl who refuses to wear a bra for more than a couple hours a day. You want to make sure you don't have panty lines, or that they don't see through the dress or pants you're wearing, so for the most part, I have always strayed towards the nude tones.  I was recently introduced to the intimates section at Kohl's department store and I honestly feel like I will never have to shop anywhere else!

When shopping, I was gravitated towards Candie's line of undies because of the fun patterns and comfortable fit.  Both the bikini and thong styles are super comfortable and are flat to the skin banishing panty lines completely.  The ones I specifically purchased probably wouldn't be your best choice while wearing white, however, these or these are the perfect pairs for that! I personally am the kind of girl who likes to wear matching pieces, so I love this bra and thong set and this bra and bikini set.  I tested out this bra under a white tee and surprisingly it masks the colors pretty well, but who doesn't like a little lace showing?!  When wearing a dress, I highly recommend the bikini style underwear.  While thongs are more comfortable to wear with jeans, yoga pants or even sweats, the bikini style underwear will cover you in a case of any wind-sweeping incidents!  I like to wear the bikini style underwear under any dress or skirt, and because they are typically a flowy dress, pretty much any color will work!  If I am wearing a body-con or body-shaping dress, I tend to pick a pair that's the same color as my dress (ie. red dress, red undies) and make sure they are completely flat to the body (you don't want them digging in or you'll for sure have that panty line).  These thongs are perfect for body-snug dresses as I've never had an issue with being able to see them!

Another nice thing about Kohl's intimate section is that they carry sizes for every body size and shape. Whether you're an A cup or a DDD cup, Kohl's has something for everyone.

Good News! The Total Semi Annual Sales Event starts on 8/5 and runs through 8/21.
During this sale, you will receive $10 off $40 Intimates purchase with promo code INTIMATES10. Promo code is valid 8/5-8/17

This jumpsuit by Leith is one of my absolute favorites!  It comes in this amazing floral print and solid black and has the cutest cutouts on the side (I apologize you can't really see them here!)  It was actually sold out for a while, but there are now a few left in stock, and it is oh so comfortable.  I got this in a small and it fits true to size; a little long, but nothing these adorable wedges can't fix!!  Also, I wanted to point out this adorable watch I received from JORD Wood Watches.  Every watch is handcrafted and made from all wood.  I especially love this purple one, the color is gorgeous and it will be perfect for fall!  Exciting news...

I have teamed up with Jord to giveaway a $75 gift certificate to one lucky winner, and everyone else who enters a $20 gift certificate to use towards one of their gorgeous watches!  You can enter the contest here:  The contest runs until 8/2 at 11:59pm and the winner will be announced on 8/3.  Good luck!! xoxo

The Nordstrom Anniversary sale is finally open to the public, and lots have been restocked!! I had already picked up a few items during the pre-sale, but went back to a local Nordstrom this morning to get the rest (so much had initially sold out during the pre-sale, but luckily at my Nordstrom I was able to score some perfect fall items for a major deal!)  I also bought these flats and the leopard ones, however they were sold out of my size in store so I had to order them from a store in Hawaii!! ha ha. I think my absolute favorite piece from the sale has got to be this cardigan (it's SO soft and also comes in two other colors) and these jeans (on the pricer side, but fits like a glove and are super flattering). Pretty much everything I got is TTS, except I did go down to XS's in both of the cardigans as they are pretty loose!

Did you guys find anything at the sale?! What's your favorite?? xoxo

Flamingo Love with Romwe...

TOP: Romwe (c/o) // SHORTS: Hudson // SHOES: Sam Edelman // BAG: Tuckernuck // RINGS: Aqua and Kendra Scott // SUNGLASSES: Sold out, similar here // EARRINGS: Baublebar // WATCH: Daniel Wellington (c/o) (use code 'MARVELOUS' for 15% off!) // BRACELET: J. Crew

First I want to start off by saying... how adorable is this wall?! It's a wall I recently discovered in Chicago (I promise I'll get to a wall-post soon, I want to scope out some more for you guys first!) and I knew immediately I needed to shoot some blog pictures in front of it.  I am obsessed with pretty much flamingo-anything... but for real, can I have this mural in my condo?! ha ha.

This top from Romwe, is amazing.  I was a little nervous about sizing when ordering, but went with my normal size small and it fits perfect!  The material is very soft and also a good quality for being less than $15!  I also really love this one and this one (that choker though...), both for under $20, amazing deal.  I paired it with my favorite denim shorts by Hudson and these super fun platform sandals by Sam Edelman.  This sandals, surprisingly enough are SO easy to walk in.  I was nervous when I first got them I'd be toppling all over the place, but I was proven wrong.  I won't lie and say they are the most comfortable shoes in the world, but fashion has got to hurt sometime, right?! :)

I am heading back home to WI for the weekend and am excited to see my pup!  The heat indexes in the Midwest are crazy right now, so all I plan to do this weekend is hide inside Nordstrom and do some more shopping at the Anniversary sale!  PS, it opens to the public tomorrow... if you have something on your mind scoop it up QUICK!  The pre-sale sold out of so many amazing things, but a lot should be restocked at midnight!! xoxo

Floral Off-The-Shoulder Top...

TOP: Topshop // JEANS: Articles of Society // SHOES: Jeffrey Campbell // BAG: Rebecca Minkoff // WATCH: Daniel Wellington (use code 'MARVELOUS' for 15% off!) // BRACELET: J. Crew // EARRINGS: Old, (similar here) // RINGS: Aqua and Kendra Scott // SUNGLASSES: DITTO (use code 'MITMIDWEST' for a free month!)

This top, honestly, has got to be one of my all time favorites! Unlike most Topshop pieces, this one runs pretty TTS and fit's so well.  I loved pairing it with white denim, but also looks so cute with a pair of jean shorts. I am also in love with these orange Ray-Ban's from DITTO... Ditto lets you rent unlimited designer sunglasses- and buy them if you want to.  I highly suggest you check it out, and if you do- use code "MITMIDWEST' for a free month! I had dinner at Parlor Pizza Bar, and if you live in Chicago or ever visit- I highly recommend this place.  The outside patio is huge and so much fun, and they also have a rooftop deck as well.  The food is always good- my favorite pizza has got to be the Brussel Sprout pizza- weird, I know, but tastes amazing, and I love their craziest bread with marinara, my mouth is watering just thinking about it!! I am also convinced they have the best Moscow Mules. :)

This week has gone by super fast, and it's supposed to be in the 100's here with the heat index this weekend.  My pools is definitely already calling my name...  Hope everyone has a great rest of their week!! xoxo

Simply Stylist Chicago Event!

This past Saturday I had the opportunity to attend the Simply Stylist event in Chicago and it was SO much fun.  The day started off with an amazing brunch at the Dana Hotel & Spa, which served avocado toast with poached eggs (my favorite!), yogurt parfaits, croissants and muffins and of course, mimosas.  It was so nice to be able to catch up with blogger friends, enjoy the day listening to amazing speakers as well as mini pampering sessions from the Glam App.  After brunch, we headed into the panel hosted by Catt Sadler from E! News, which included Cara Santana (actress, model and Glam App creator), Helen Berkun (fashion photographer and style expert), Lindsay Albanese (stylist and video blogger), Paolo Nieddu (costume designer for Empire and stylist) and Alaina Kaczmarski (co-founder of the EveryGirl.)  Every single one of them was very inspirational and gave a look into what it was like when they were just getting started building their brand and making a dent in the saturated market.  I am a big fan of the EveryGirl, so it was really cool to be able to meet Alaina and hear about how she created what is now a very successful business!

After the panel spoke, we were able to mix and mingle with other bloggers and enjoy appetizers and signature Watermelon Margaritas.  There was mini manicure stations, a ball pit (yes a real ball pit!) as well as hair and makeup stations for mini touch-ups, perfect for continuing on your Saturday night in the city!  I also received an amazing gift bag filled with tons of goodies such as H2O+ Beauty products, Neuro Sleep Water, Biossance products and even a gift card to Ali + Jay (how amazing are these dresses?!).  During the happy hour, there were mini breakout sessions happening in a small room nearby with more speakers talking about everything from styling 101 to how to balance life (something I definitely needed to hear.) All of these were super informative as well and gave more insight into different aspects of the blogging world.

Aside from the Conference, I also had two Bachelorette parties this weekend, so I would definitely say it was a packed, yet eventful weekend for sure.  It went way too fast, and now I am slowly starting to recuperate.  Did y'all do anything fun this weekend?  Can you believe it's the middle of July already?! Slow down summer... xoxo
