Beauty-Full Volume with TRESemmé

This post is sponsored by TRESemmé, a product of Unilever, as a part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central.

Today I have partnered up with TRESemmé to show you their brand new Beauty-Full Volume Reverse System collection. I've always been someone who changes up my hair routine frequently. I've tried dozens and dozens of products and have colored my hair since middle school, but I have never found a brand or product that I loved enough to stick with... until now.

This new line by TRESemmé focuses on reversing your normal hair routine. When I first saw this, I was thinking "conditioner before shampoo? That seems weird..." but surprisingly it really does work wonders! I have naturally oily hair, where I can't go more than 2 days without washing it, but after using this for a few days I can already tell that it's becoming less oily and has a ton of volume! TRESemmé is here to bring you a new norm to your hair care routine by reversing the steps. As you may not know, using conditioner after shampoo weighs your hair down, which makes it hard to give you that extra volume and body that you want- even after using mousse, thickening spray, etc. Que in the game-changing TRESemmé Pre-Wash Conditioner... Using it before washing with the shampoo will leave your hair soft, healthy and shiny and give you that volume you've been looking for with the traditional process.  This pre-wash conditioner, which is safe to use on color-treated hair, protects the hair during shampooing to leave it smooth and polished.  Next, the shampoo will gently cleanse and remove excess weight from the hair. This helps with static and is also safe on color-treated hair.

After conditioning and shampooing (yes, in that order), I used the Beauty-Full Volume Hair Maximizer to give me extra bounce and frizz control. This light crème-like product uses a combination of Fleximax Volumizers which creates the volume, and polishing actives which smooths the cuticle from root to tip. Next, I used the Touchable Bounce Mousse, which promised to give me big, voluminous hair and it did just that! The Fleximax Volumizers in this product provide huge volume, but still allows your hair to move and not feel stiff and sticky like most mousse products do. It was the perfect blow-dry companion and made my hair feel ahhh-mazing! Lastly, I applied the Flexible Finish Hairspray. I have been a fan of TRESemmé's hairspray for years... even my mom swears by it and won't buy anything else, so I was really excited to try out a new one! I am super picky about hairspray because of my fine, straight hair, so I have a hard time finding one that still allows my hair to move and doesn't create that crunchy hard look (because that look is so 1990's). I've always loved TRESemmé's hairspray because of the lightweight feel and the smell (all the hairsprays smell amazing!). This one was no different. It's lightweight, locks in the bounce and still lets your hair dance all while smelling amazing at the same time. My boyfriend actually asked me the other day if I switched my shampoo because he said it smelled so good. I have a feeling this will be stolen out of my shower shortly...

A couple of tips to consider while using the Beauty-Full Volume line (for maximum results):
1. To deliver the best results, use the collection in order (the reverse order).  There is a big #1 and #2 on the bottles, so you shouldn't get confused. :) Note: You can not achieve the same type of results by reversing your normal shampoo and conditioner as this is designed specifically for this purpose.
2. Don't overdo it... less is always more when it comes to conditioner and product. I used two pumps of the pre-wash conditioner and that was more than enough; same goes for the Maximizer and mousse. It's never pretty to have globs of product in your hair, so take it easy. I used a small dime-size amount of the Maximizer and one pump of the mousse and again, was plenty of product to rub throughout all of my hair. Keep in mind, I do have fine, straight hair so if you have thicker hair, you may need a little bit more.
3. Watch this YouTube video, which shows Chrissy Teigen (who I also love) talk about the product and give her take on it!

  2. You are like the third person to mention that reverse shampoo/conditioner routine and so I am totally going to test it out. I'm a little skeptical, but if it works wonders I will be so grateful to know this little trick! Thanks!

  4. I never thought of doing it in reverse! So far I've just made sure to only put conditioner on the ends of my hair, otherwise my scalp gets oily way too quickly. Might have to try this out!
