Currently Craving...

one // two // three // four // five // six // seven // eight // nine

Happy Hump Day! I have been in such a spring state of mind lately (can't you tell from my last post?) that I've completely stopped shopping for anything that's winter-related and started focusing on all of the fun spring pieces!  These are some of the items that I am currently craving... I literally want it all!  I am super into anything with bows recently and these Kate Spade and J. Crew flats are to die for!! I am also really lusting over this Ted Baker bag.

This weekend is supposed to get up into the 50's in Chicago! I am so excited to actually be able to wear some flats (I recently got these Tory Burch flats and can't wait to break them in!) instead of boots

Hope everyone has a great Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by :) xoxo

Spring Fever

one // two // three // four // five // six // seven // eight // nine // ten

Happy Friday everyone!

Wow... lately I have been having a major case of Spring fever.  With all this frigid cold weather we are starting to get in Chicago lately, I have been dreaming of the warmer days ahead.  I am heading to Miami at the beginning of February and that's been the only thing on my mind for the last month... bring on the 80 degrees! I am so tired of having to step outside in a ton of layers and big bulky coats.

On that note... can you believe that most stores have already started putting out their spring collections?!  It seems like winter just started and now I'm seeing lots of bright colors (can you tell that I am loving all of it?) make its way onto the shelves. One good thing about the spring collections rolling in, is that all of the winter stuff is going on major sale- which means you can pick up a much needed winter coat for up to 75% off!

I can't wait to rock some of these pieces on my trip to Miami, however even incorporating a bright colored purse into your daily outfit can make this gloomy winter feel a little more colorful!

Have a great weekend! xoxo

Valentine's Day Gift Guide for HIM...

Yesterday's post was all about gifts for the girls, so I thought today's post should be all about the wonderful men we have in our lives!  Whether it be a boyfriend, husband, dad, or brother, these are all great choices that I am confident any of them would love!

I absolutely adore this travel bag, it's manly on the outside, but gives a little confident booster on the inside.  Next time he's traveling solo and goes inside his bag, he'll be reminded of you. :)  My boyfriend wears ties everyday for work (life of an attorney), so I am really loving these Tie Bar ties.  They come in a ton of different patterns and colors and are very affordable.  Sometimes I can't believe how much ties really cost- which can be upward of $100+, while these are just around $20!

Fitbit's are incredibly popular right now, and everyone who has one seems to love it.  I haven't splurged on one yet- I just got the Apple watch, but I know that my boyfriend has been eyeing one for a while now.  I definitely think that it's important to track your activity during the day and it's cool that you can do it with other people by syncing it to your phone!  It's a nice way to challenge each other (and yourself) to do more each day.

Even if you don't do gifts for Valentine's day, I am hoping that some of these ideas will help you for a birthday or other special occasion!  I know I'm happy with some flowers and a good bottle of wine :).

Thanks for stopping by! xoxo

Valentine's Day Gift Guide for HER...

 1. candle //2. necklace // 3. lipstick trio // 4. earrings // 5. wallet // less expensive version here // 6. heart ring // 7. initial tray // 8. business card holder // 9. shine bright mug & XOXO mug

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I put together some ideas for great gifts for her.  Send this over to the boyfriend, fiance, husband or friend because we all know they get stuck when trying to pick out a perfect gift! Pretty much all of these items are less than $100 except for the Kate Spade wallet and the heart ring, but who can resist pretty little hearts?!

If you've never heard of or own a Voluspa candle, you must must get one now!  They are amazing.  There are so many different scents to choose from, and they last forever!! For $9 a piece you can stock up on multiple and not break the bank! :)

Another thing I am loving right now, is this Kate Spade business card holder! Whenever I go to events or conferences, I always bring business cards with me so this is absolutely perfect and necessary to keep them all in tact without falling to the bottom of my bag.  I already own a leather Kate Spade holder, however I will definitely be purchasing one of these before my next event! (I am obsessed with the personalized initial, of course!) ;)

I would love to hear what gifts you have in mind this year! Can you believe Valentine's Day is just around the corner?!

Thanks for stopping by! xoxo

Valentine's Day Outfits

dress: Soprano bow back dress // earrings: Kendra Scott 'ellie' // shoes: Jimmy Choo 'abel' // I also really like these (more affordable) and these // lipstick: MAC 'pink pigeon' // blush: MAC powder blush // necklace: Kendra Scott 'harlow' // bag: Tory Burch 'kira'

coat: J. Crew // jeans: Topshop moto // shirt: BP. at Nordstrom // boots: Sorel 'caribou' // hat: J. Crew pom pom beanie // handbag: DVF 'twilight resin'

With Valentine's day less than a month away, I thought it was a perfect time to start planning those outfits for any type of date or activity.  In the first outfit, I picked a pink dress (with a big bow!) and some glitter pumps for a more romantic date night.  I absolutely love this dress, and the best part of all- it's on sale for only $35!  I am swooning over the Jimmy Choo pumps (huge splurge), however I listed two other styles that are a little bit more affordable that will get the job done!  The pink pigeon lipstick by MAC is the perfect pink color and matches this dress almost perfectly!

The second outfit I created is more of a casual date night or a night out with friends look.  I love love love this pink top from Chicwish (another bow, of course). This top is so delicate and feminiane and would look amazing paired with a blazer or even a skirt!  Paige jeans are my absolute favorite jeans, I feel like they fit in all the right places and never stretch out or sag.  The verdugo skinnies are hands down the best jeans (in my opinion of course).  I've been eyeing the leopard print pumps by Chinese Laundry for months now.  I love how the leopard gives a little extra touch to the plain top and jeans and these shoes are so transitional... you can dress them up or down.  Kendra Scott always makes the greatest jewelry, so naturally all of the jewelry in these inspo's came from there... I probably own 30 different pieces now, you can really never have enough! ;)

The last outfit is for any date or activity that's outside.  Maybe you don't need a coat where you are, but in Chicago today it is frigid!  This J.Crew coat is my favorite and comes in a ton of other colors. The red color is perfect for Valentine's Day if you can't show off a cute LPD or a blouse.  Sorel boots are also absolutely amazing for cold weather temps... I own a pair and they are so warm and comfortable.  The only downside I would have to say is that they can be extremely heavy!  I guess thats how they keep you nice and warm :).  You really can't go wrong with this neutral J.Crew beanie.  I love the pom pom- I wish every hat had a pom pom!!

Whatever your plans for Valentine's Day this year, I hope one of these styles helps you with the outfit planning part...  My outfit this year will most likely be #2!  I'd love to hear what style you're going with this year!

Kendra Scott Color Bar Party

Last night I got together with some girlfriends for a Color Bar party at the Kendra Scott store on Michigan avenue. We started off with Sprinkles cupcakes and champagne (what could be better than that?!) as we browsed all of the goodies that encompass the store. After all 10 of us arrived, our sweet coordinator Madeline went over the Color Bar with us, explaining how it works and how you can custom make your own piece of jewelry.  About half of us already knew how it worked, but it was nice for the Kendra Scott newbies. :) We all chose an item, I initially was going to go with the Rayne necklace, but since I already have a few of those, I picked some amazing two toned Alexa earrings. Alexa, which looks just like the Alexandra except with a little extra piece on the top, is only available at the color bar, but you are able to make any Color Bar piece online HERE. There was also 4 drawers filled with sale pieces, so there was something for everyone, plus not to mention an amazing deal on some normally pricey items.

If you're ever near a Kendra Scott store, you have to stop in!  The store itself is so cute.  A fun fact we learned from Madeline was that Kendra designs her stores to look like her home.  The wall colors are the same as the ones in her living room, and the chandeliers (which are amazing) are the same ones she has hanging in her home.  Not only will you find a million pieces for yourself to wear in this store, but they make great gifts!  I purchased my mom's birthday present from here back in November, and she loved everything! There are so many great pieces that would make amazing birthday or bridesmaid gifts.

If anyone every gets a chance to host or attend a Color Bar party, I highly suggest you do so!  It makes for such a fun girls night, and I've also heard of a lot of girls doing it as part of their bachelorette parties!  I want to thank Madeline and all the other girls who helped make our night so much fun and delicious (again, Sprinkles cupcakes, who could go wrong?). xoxo

Rainy Days...

The weather in Chicago has been crazy! Last week it was in the 50's and 60's and this week it is 3 degrees and snowing!  Since the weather has been pretty warm around here, it's been raining like crazy!  Since it's almost the middle of January, I'd prefer it to be snowing (it did yesterday!) but I have to say, I love my rainy day attire.  I rounded up some of my all-time favorite rainy day essentials to bring a little sunshine and make the most of a gloomy day. :)

Burberry has always been my favorite when it comes to rain jackets and rain boots, however it can be pretty pricey! I really love Hunters right now, I own a black pair and a pink pair.  Fun fact: if you wear a womens 7 or smaller, you can fit into kids sizes!! They are half the price and come in a bunch of pretty colors! I wear a size 6/7 in womens, but fit into a kids size 5.  I am loving on this black and white striped umbrella and these black and white striped rain boots.  I need both of these in my life!  Also, how cute is this Kate Spade umbrella?  I am a big fan of using rain boots and umbrellas even in the snow, so I think all of these items would come in handy!

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday! xoxo

Vineyard Vines "Whale of Sale!"

My picks! How cute is the sweater with the whale elbow patches?! <3 <3 (sold out now unfortunately)

The Vineyard Vines "whale of a sale" will be wrapping up soon, so I thought I would show you some of my favorite picks that are still available! The sale is amazing and there are so many awesome pieces to choose from. I picked up a cashmere sweater and a fleece vest for around $150 total! To take advantage of the sale, head to Vineyard Vines and enter code "woas2015" to save 40% off the sale price, which is around 75% off the retail values! I really want these mittens and these boots... how cute are the whale prints?! Sizes and items go quick- I already had two things leave my cart, due to being sold out-- so head there fast if you want to snag anything up! :)

Happy Shopping! xoxo
