Ruffle Cold Shoulder Sweatshirt

SWEATSHIRTLush // JEANSAG // BAGGiGi New York // SHOESBoohoo (under $20!)

Happy Tuesday! When I saw this ruffle cold shoulder sweatshirt at Nordstrom, I knew I had to have it for fall.  The color is the perfect neutral and it's so comfy.  It also comes in black and is less than $40!  My job requires me to be pretty casual, so I am lucky that I don't have to dress up everyday.  If you're office is on the casual side, this sweatshirt is so warm, even though it's an off the shoulder.  I also really love these AG jeans for fall.  They are an amazing dark denim color and fit perfectly (true to size!)  I also have been asked a million times where my embroidered mules are from... you can get them here and they are under $20!  I wear these all the time and get so many compliments... such a great deal for good quality mules, which also come in two other colors.

This week is SO busy, I am leaving for some fun places this weekend so stay tuned to see where! xoxo

Bell Sleeve Sweater

SWEATERBP. // JEANSBLANKNYC // BOOTIES: Old, Almost exact dupes HERE // BAG: Old, Similar HERE // EARRINGSBaublebar // NECKLACELove Always (mine is 3XL)

Happy October, everyone!  I have to say, October is definitely my least favorite month of the year... mainly because it starts to get super cold in Chicago, however it's transitioning into my FAVORITE month of the year next month, November!  One thing I will say I love about the temps dropping a little bit is bringing back out the sweaters and booties.  Sweaters and booties are definitely my favorite pieces of clothing other than off the shoulder tops of course. :)

This bell sleeve sweater is one of my favorites for fall.  It's actually super light weight but also soft and warm, the perfect combo.  It comes in 3 colors and is only $39 bucks!  I also love these jeans by BLANKNYC.  BLANKNYC is such an affordable denim line, and these have just the right amount of stretch and distress as well as the perfect ankle length for a 5'5 frame!  My booties are older from Sole Society, however I found these wedge booties that are almost identical (including a cute little zipper) for under $100.

I hope everyone has a great Wednesday!! xoxo

$22 Knotted Tee

TEE: BP. (only $22!) // JEANS: BLANKNYC // BAG: Gucci // SHOES: Sold Out, Similar HERE // BRACELETS: David Yurman

One thing I love about Nordstrom sometimes, is that you can find amazing pieces for affordable prices outside of the abundance of designer labels.  This tee is one that fits that bill... it comes in 8 different colors and is only $22, can I have one in each please?!  The color here is "olive arrowwood" and the pictures don't even do it justice.  I am loving on this color for fall, I think it's my new favorite! This tee is definitely meant to fit a little oversized (i'm wearing a small) but if you want it to be more fitted, I'd recommend sizing down one size.

I also recently found these jeans and they're under $100! They are the perfect dark denim color and the right amount of distressed. I've been wearing them for the past couple weeks on repeat and will for sure be a part of my fall staples.  Leopard is another huge trend for fall... these shoes are from last year and no longer available, but these are super similar and reasonably priced (I swear by anything Sam Edelman!)

I hope everyone has a great Wednesday! I have a couple fun events this week... make sure to follow along on Instagram! xoxo

My Favorite Fall Staples

It's surprising to think that tomorrow is the first day of fall because it's in the high 80's in Chicago this week, however, I am really starting to get in the "fall state of mind."  I'm obsessing over all of the new fall clothing and can't wait to stock up the wardrobe for the chillier days.  I am specifically crushing on this suede moto jacket, which would look amazing with a pair of dark denim, or over a dress!  The color is the perfect fall neutral.  I also always go for a good pair of booties once the weather gets cooler.  These booties are under $100 and also come in black.  I love the heel height and the color goes with pretty much everything! If you haven't invested in a nice handbag yet, now is the time! I am in love with this classic Tory Burch bag- it's the perfect size and color.  It's definitely more of a splurge, but totally worth the extra bucks!  Also, nothing screams "fall" more than a tan floppy hat! This hat also comes in black and is under $40, making it a staple piece for everyone's closet.

What are you currently crushing on for fall?! xoxo

Transitional Fall/Summer Romper, Avocado Wall & Amazon Gift Card Giveaway!

ROMPER: Roxy // SANDALS: Tory Burch // EARRINGS: Baublebar // BAG: GiGi New York // RING: Kendra Scott

My favorite types of outfits are the ones that can be easily transitioned from season to season, which is why I love this long sleeve Roxy romper.  The material is light weight enough to be perfect for summer months, even having long sleeves, but also perfect for fall and cooler temps to throw on a denim jacket and booties.  I also want to mention that this romper is only $50, so definitely a steal if you ask me!  Can we talk about how amazing this mural is in Chicago?! I found this avocado wall in the West Loop and instantly fell in love... because what's better than avocados?!  If you're in Chicago, you must check out the Mott50 store, (where the mural is) they have the cutest avocado leggings!

On another note, this week I decided to team up with some of my favorite bloggers and bring you an amazing giveaway. One lucky reader will win a $650 gift card to Amazon.

Blue Floral Tiered Dress

DRESS: Wayf // WEDGES: Marc Fisher // BAG: Sold out (similar HERE) // EARRINGS: Baublebar // BRACELET: David Yurman // RING: Kendra Scott

FriYAY! It's finally the weekend and I can't be more excited to celebrate the wedding of one of my good friends this weekend and have an extra day off on Monday! It's almost starting to feel like fall i in Chicago, and I'm not exactly sure how I feel about it... I definitely don't think Chicago got enough summer!

I wore this dress a couple weeks ago to dinner with some family and it's perfect for dressing up or down (I threw on a denim jacket with it to dress it down!)  The off the shoulder sweetheart neckline definitely gives it a feminine romantic feel, and the fit is amazing.  This dress is a great transitional piece into fall, as the colors give off more of a fall feel than summer, but it's still light weight enough to wear during the summer months.  My favorite Marc Fisher wedges go perfect and I can't get enough of them... I think I've worn them over 100 times this summer- they're SO comfortable!! I will for sure be picking them up in another color for spring.

Off to do some wedding planning, I hope everyone has a great Labor Day weekend! xoxo

My Stay at the Fairmont Dallas

Happy Tuesday!! A couple weekends ago I traveled to Dallas, TX with my good friend for a little staycation at the Fairmont downtown. This was my first time ever in Texas, so I was super excited to visit the southwest and bask in the heat. It was a quick weekend trip, but the Fairmont was so good to us that it was definitely a weekend to remember.  When I first checked into the Fairmont, every single person that I spoke to was so unbelievably nice and accommodating.  The concierge and doormen especially, always making sure I was happy and covered.  One thing that I especially loved was their complimentary car that will take you within a one mile radius of the hotel.  This is super nice and convenient if you want to check out the bars/restaurants on Mckinny Street or attend a concert at the American Airlines Center.  The hotel is in the absolute perfect location for exploring the city!

When I first got to my room (a HUGE two bedroom suite) I was amazed by the amount of detail they put into everything.  Both my friend and I had personalized toiletries in each of our bathrooms and even a bottle of Cabernet Savinougn (our favorite!) was waiting for us to toast a fun girls weekend in Dallas!  A local flower shop thats connected to the hotel Franzie's Flower Design, brought us a bouquet of beautiful pink roses that complimented the room perfectly.  I can't say enough about the actual rooms.  They were extremely spacious and clean and the beds were probably one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever stayed in.

For breakfast, we checked out the restaurant located in the hotel called Pyramid Restaurant and Bar. We started with an assortment of fresh pressed juices (my favorite being the cucumber, lime and cilantro) and had a gourmet breakfast spread of an egg-white omelet, banana nut french toast (it's all about balance, right?) and the green onion hash browns- a must have! We were then brought over an amazing little portion of oatmeal brule to end an amazing meal.  The service we received from the waitstaff was just as amazing as the meal itself.  After breakfast, we headed up to the pool for a day in the sun.  It was SO hot while we were in Dallas, so it was so nice to have a pool to hang out in all day.  They have a pool bar that serves all types of fun drinks and snacks.  I had the watermelon margarita, which was the perfect drink for a warm summer day.  I was very surprised by how nice the actual pool area itself was.  It felt like being back home at the country club pool or somewhere I would go to just hang out on the regular- it was huge!

The following day we were headed to Waco, so we stocked up on Starbucks (also conveniently located off the hotel lobby) to give us fuel for the 2 hour drive.  We were super excited to go visit Magnolia Farms because we are both huge fans of the show "Fixer Upper," I mean who doesn't love Chip and Joanna Gaines?!  It was such a fun day exploring another city in Dallas and would definitely recommend renting a car for the day to enjoy Waco!

We had such a great visit at the Fairmont and would highly recommend it to anyone who is traveling to Dallas in the future.  The staff will go out of their way to make sure you're stay is nothing short of amazing.

I rounded up some of my recommendations of places to go while visiting Dallas, I hope you find this helpful!

Pecan Lodge: Long lines but amazing BBQ.  They don't take reservations so expect to wait at least 30-45 minutes.  We waited around 30 minutes, but the food was SO worth it!

Urban Taco: A cute little tex-mex restaurant located in Uptown on Mckenny Street.  It was packed and had such a fun vibe, including open air outdoor seating and live music.  We had a trio of guacamole and lettuce wrap tacos.  Even the skinny margarita was delicious!

Pōk The Raw Bar: I kind of have a Poke obsession and this place is trendy and so cute.  It's a Poke/ Matcha bar that offers traditional bowls or build your own.  I haven't gotten into the Matcha craze, but it was crazy busy with people ordering it!

The Happiest Hour: SUCH a fun place located super close to the hotel.  This place is huge and is perfect for after work cocktails and happy hour snacks.  We sat in the inside, however there is an awesome outdoor patio area if you're brave enough to sit in the heat.

The Pyramid Bar (located in the Fairmont):  This bar is super classy! It's the perfect spot to hang if you're staying at the hotel or even just popping by for a drink.  It's a lively atmosphere for being inside a hotel.

Emporium Pies: We stopped here after dinner and every single pie looked amazing! I have a friend who lives in Dallas and this is her favorite place to pick up dessert after dinner.  They have a two locations in the city.

American Airlines Center: We attended the Ed Sheeran concert there and it was in such an amazing location.  If you are coming to see a Mavericks game or concert, the Fairmont is walking distance (or take the complimentary car!) to the venue.

House of Blues Dallas: We didn't go here, but it was also in close proximity to the hotel.  The House of Blues always holds fun concerts and events, so staying at the Fairmont is a must if it's on your to-go list!  It also has a fun outdoor area where we noticed lots of people playing games like bags right outside the venue.

Thank you Fairmont Dallas for having us!!
