Lilly Love in Sea Shells

TWO PIECELilly Pulitzer // WEDGESJeffrey Campbell // BAGRebecca Minkoff // EARRINGSBaublebar // BRACELETDavid Yurman

Happy Tuesday!  It's only Tuesday and I feel like this week is flying by... so much to do, so little time.  I was in NYC pretty much all of last week, with tons of meetings and events so I was hoping to have a much more relaxing week this week, but so far that hasn't been the case!

One of my favorite outfits so far this summer has got to be this adorable shell print two piece from Lilly Pulitzer.  I am bias, maybe because I love Lilly a little too much, but how fun is the print and scalloped hem?!  In some photos it's hard to tell it's a two piece, so it's definitely more of a 'conservative' crop top and skirt duo.  It also fits TTS (I am wearing a 4!)  I paired it with these Baublebar earrings and they were absolutely perfect because there are little shells on them as well.  This outfit would be right on point for a tropical vacation, I will for sure be taking this with me down to Florida next fall.

Also, don't forget! There is a Nordstrom gift card giveaway happening now, just in time for the public access!! Head to my last blog post for details on how to enter! xoxo

Traverse City Travel Guide & a Nordstrom Gift Card Giveaway!!

Happy Monday, everyone!  I just got back to the swing of things after an amazing long 4th of July weekend/break.  It was so nice to be have some time off to spend with friends and family back in Wisconsin, and I even got to see Luke Bryan in the mix!

A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to travel to Traverse City, Michigan for a little stay-cation at the Cherry Tree Inn and attend one of my good friends wedding at the gorgeous Rove Winery.  I had never been to Traverse City before, so I was super excited to visit what most people call one of the most beautiful spots in the US!  Our hotel, the Cherry Tree Inn was located just a few miles from the downtown Traverse City and had a convenient complimentary shuttle that would take you to and from.  Although we had a rental car, this was a nice little bonus since it was the first weekend in 2 months (yes 2 months!) that I had drank alcohol, so I definitely didn't want to have to worry about driving.  The hotel sits right along an adorable little beach on Lake Michigan.  The views from our balcony were absolutely breathtaking, we would just sit out there each morning to take it in.  We also had a huge jacuzzi tub and mini kitchen in our room, and the bathroom was one of the nicest I've seen in a while- there was a TV in the mirror!  The staff was also super accommodating and friendly... especially the shuttle driver. She gave us so many recommendations on what to do/what not to do, we left feeling like we wished we had two weeks to stay!

The first night we were there, we took the shuttle downtown and had drinks at a really cool, laid back brewery called the Workshop Brewing Company.  They had endless selections of brewed beer and live music, which was super fun to enjoy while we waited for our table next door at Alliance.  Alliance... where do I even start. It's nestled in a "warehouse" type space and is contemporary and modern. We had the mushroom salad, which is absolutely to die for, the Thai Friend Chicken and the Octopus.  The food was so delicious and I kept thinking about how much I wanted to go back the next day.  If we would have been in Traverse City longer, I definitely would have gone back!  After dinner, we stopped by The Franklin for drinks on the rooftop.  If you're looking for a fun spot for drinks/dinner I highly recommend the Franklin.  The rooftop has a great little view of the main street.  For breakfast, we headed back downtown to the Omelette Shoppe and had some of the best omelettes of our life.  This super cute breakfast and lunch place gets busy, so expect a well worth it wait.

Hotel: The Cherry Tree Inn
Breakfast: The Omelette Shoppe
Lunch: The Franklin
Dinner: Alliance
Drinks: The Workshop Brewing Company

Embroidered Off the Shoulder Dress

DRESS: Chicwish (c/o) // WEDGES: Marc Fisher // BAG: Sold out (Similar HERE) // EARRINGS: Baublebar (c/o) // SUNGLASSES: ILY Couture // BRACELET: David Yurman

Happy Thursday, friends! I am super excited to be heading back to Wisconsin tonight for the 4th and a nice little vacation away from the city.  I am going to see Luke Bryan (and Hanson) perform at Summerfest tonight... I can't wait!  If you haven't heard of Summerfest before, it's the worlds largest music festival held in Milwaukee every year.  There are so many good performers this year and it's relatively inexpensive to attend.  I highly recommend coming out to Milwaukee to check it out!!

Anyway... I recently got this dress from one of my favorite online retailers, Chicwish.  As you may know I have an obsession with both off the shoulder dresses and embroidered prints, so I'd have to say this dress is pretty perfect!  It's super light weight and easy to throw on for a day around town or even dressed up at night.  I paired it with my favorite platform wedges (they are seriously so comfortable) and my gold drop earrings from Baublebar!  I swear I have these earrings in 10 different colors, they go with everything!!

Does anyone have anything fun planned for the 4th of July?! We always go to my hometown to watch the parade... I also can't wait to see some fireworks!! xoxo

Planning In Style with Erin Condren

Happy Monday!! I just got back from an amazing weekend in Traverse City, Michigan celebrating a good friend getting married, and I have to say... I can't wait to go back! I will be recapping my stay soon, so make sure to check back!

A couple weeks ago, I had the privilege of attending an Erin Condren event at one of my favorite places in Chicago, Dylans Candy Bar.  Dylans is so fun and colorful, so everytime I am there I feel so happy!  At this event, there were passed apps and delicious cocktails that included candy raspberries that were SO good (I may or may not have kept going back for more.) The room was also filled to the brim with fun Erin Condren goodies, including the most gorgeous watercolor pillows I had ever seen... I wanted everything! I had surprisingly never heard of Erin Condren before, but I have to say, since being introduced my life has changed- for the better!  I am usually a pretty organized person, but the products that she makes will organize your life 10x more.  The brand is specifically known for their LifePlanner, which is how I now organize my days, weeks and months-- in lots of colors and in true celebration of each day! Everything is pretty much perfect and right in line with my style/aesthetic, so I was super excited when I got the opportunity to customize my own LifePlanner™.  You are able to personalize every LifePlanner™ with your initials, monogram or name, free of charge!  I went with the adorable watercolor cactus print with my initials, because I kind of have a thing for cute little cacti.  The LifePlanner™ came in the mail with way more than I expected... tons of stickers, markers, sticky notes and even a little hardbound notebook (all sold separately).  I truly felt like a little kid again, organizing all my Lisa Frank goodies. Anyone else remember those?!

Outfit- Sold out, similar style by same designer HERE

Want to design your own?! YOU can get 15% off your entire purchase through 7/31/17 using the code GETSOCIAL15.

Chambray & Lace Romper

ROMPEREndless Rose // SANDALSSam & Libby (under $25 and come in 4 colors!) // BAG: Closet Access // EARRINGS7 Charming Sisters (use code MarvelousMidwest15 for 15% off!) // CUFF BRACELET7 Charming Sisters (use code MarvelousMidwest15 for 15% off!) // WATCHTimex // BRACELETDavid Yurman // SUNGLASSESILY Couture

Happy Monday, everyone! I recently found this adorable chambray/lace romper and couldn't wait to share it! It's still in stock, in all sizes but definitely won't last long!! The detailing on this is amazing and even prettier in person so it's definitely an outfit staple that can be dressed up or down and runs true to size (I am wearing a Small.)  The price point is a little higher than I'd usually spend on rompers, but I've already worn it a handful of times, which makes it worth it.  I also can not get enough of these bow slide sandals.  They look identical to the Sam Edelman ones but for 1/3 the price and come in 4 different colors (all which are back in stock!)  They did take a couple times of wearing them to break them in, but now I throw these on with everything.  I got both the blue/white stripe and the pink, but I am thinking about getting the other two colors as well, because who can have enough cute sandals?!

I was also recently introduced to this company called 7 Charming Sisters that make the cutest jewelry.  The price point on everything is super reasonable and I love the fact that their are 7 "sisters" who have their own individual styles and they are shown through each item, so depending on if you are a "social butterfly", "super mom" or "life of the party" there is something for everyone.  I am obsessed with these tassel earrings and get compliments every single time I wear them.  Another plus?! You can get 15% off your purchase if you use code MarvelousMidwest15... Happy shopping! xoxo

Blue & White Lace Dress

DRESSJOA // SHOESSam Edelman // BAGCloset Access // SUNGLASSESBP. // EARRINGSBaublebar // BRACELETDavid Yurman // WATCHTimex

This blue and white lace dress has become one of my favorites so far this summer.  It's super light weight and flowy and has the cutest bow ties in the back, plus it's under $100! I also was drawn to the ruffle sleeves, which makes this dress super feminine and fun.  I would easily dress this up for dinner or down for a day around town with a jean jacket and some sandals... and it would be perfect for the 4th of July!!  I have also been pairing these nude heels with everything lately.  They literally go with everything, come in a million colors, and are SO comfortable.  The block heel definitely helps relieve some pressure on the feet and I lasted all day and night in these with no problems.  If you're in the market for any color heels, I highly recommend these.

Does anyone have any fun plans for the weekend? It's been in the 90's in Chicago the past week, which is amazing and definitely calls for nothing else but sitting at the pool or beach. Luckily my building has a pool because I plan to be there all day long on both Saturday and Sunday! xoxo
