Lemon Jumpsuit

JUMPSUIT: For Love & Lemons  // WEDGES: Marc Fisher // EARRINGS: Baublebar // BAG: Gucci // RING: Kendra Scott

Happy Monday, friends! I wore this outfit last week for a fun dinner with friends and it's the perfect transition piece from summer to fall! The lemon print is so fun and feminine and the fit is perfection.  I've always been a fan of For Love & Lemons, so as soon as I saw this jumpsuit, I had to get it.  It's definitely more of a splurge, but once you put it on you won't want to take it off! We are planning on going to Italy next year for our Honeymoon and this would be the perfect jumpsuit for exploring the Amalfi Coast!!  I of course had to pair it with my favorite Marc Fisher wedges that I wear all the time.  These wedges are tall, but seriously so comfortable!!

Did everyone have a good weekend?! Mine was pretty low-key, however I think we finally found our wedding venue and date- fingers crossed! Now time to start crossing other things off the never ending list.  xoxo

My Trip to Grand Geneva

A couple weeks ago I had the opportunity to travel (not too far outside of Chicago) to Lake Geneva, WI for a blogger retreat to the Grand Geneva.  I had been to this resort before when I was little, so I was excited to go back and experience it as an adult!  From the moment we got there, the staff was so nice and accommodating.  We stayed in the brand new Villas ranging from studios to 3 bedrooms.  I got to share a two bedroom villa with Mary from Sportsanista (go follow her!) and was amazed by how nice they were!  The staff left us some goodies in our fridge (Spotted Cow beer-my favorite!!) and lots of bites for late night snacking.  In our villa, we had two bedrooms and one bathroom on the main floor and an upstairs with a full kitchen, sofa, bathroom and patio overlooking the private villa pool... it was nothing less than amazing.  Another perk?! It's dog friendly if your dog is under 25 pounds!  Check out the villas here.

We arrived on a Sunday, actually the day after I got engaged, so I was feeling a little crazy from celebrating the night before.  We were all so hungry, so we were whisked away to lunch at the Golf course restaurant Links.  I had an amazing crab salad and there was a bloody-mary bar (with all the fixings) which was a huge help to my never-ending hangover.  The view at Links is absolutely breathtaking as it over looks the golf course and has the prettiest flowers scattered everywhere. After lunch we were taken on a trolley tour throughout the grounds to see all the areas the Grand Geneva has to offer.  There is an adventure center on grounds that has archery, disc golf and hiking during the summer and skiing during the winter, so there is always something to do when visiting!  Our group did the archery and it was so much fun.  I hadn't done archery since high school gym class, so it was fun to be able to try it out again (even though I was horrible at it!)

Later on that night, we had a giant float pool party at our private villa pool and snacked on some appetizers before dinner.  For dinner, we got to experience the ChopHouse restaurant located in the resort.  We started with a seafood spread including shrimp, oysters, crab and so much more... it was delicious! I ordered the lamb chops because I had steak the night before and they were cooked to perfection- my mouth is still watering thinking about it!  For dessert, the wonderful staff brought us out endless amounts of cakes, pies and creme brûlées to try out.  The carrot cake is to die for and definitely a must if you ever make it there.

The next morning we woke up for our spa services at the Well Spa + Salon.  I had a massage treatment done and it was absolutely amazing and super relaxing. The Spa offers anything from massages to facials to mani/pedi's, as well as hair services in the Salon.  This was the icing on the cake to such a great experience at the Grand Geneva.  After our spa services were over, we had lunch at the Grand Cafe in the main lobby (I had the mediterranean salad with shrimp-so delicious) before heading back to Chicago.  With over 10 restaurants, cafes and lounges on the property, there is definitely something for everyone.  I would love to visit the Italian restaurant the next time I am there!

If you'd like to visit the resort for yourself, the Grand Geneva is currently offering my followers 30% off their stay now- December 31st (some blackout days apply).  Book HERE to take advantage of this amazing offer! xoxo

Life Hacks with Tai Pei Chinese Food

This post was sponsored by Tai Pei and all opinions expressed in my post are my own.

Happy Thursday! Last week I attended an event hosted by the Tai Pei, a frozen Chinese food company, with special guest Danielle Moss from the EveryGirl. Before attending the event, I had never heard nor had Tai Pei before, so I was excited to try it out! I will admit, I was a bit hesitant before trying it- I LOVE Chinese food, but typically go for the classic take-out over microwaveable food, but I was pleasantly surprised how fresh and good it tasted as the quality is definitely there!  I tried 3 different kinds of classic Chinese dishes, Beef & Broccoli, Chicken Chow Mein and General Tso's Spicy Chicken as well as Chicken Egg rolls that are also microwaveable.  My favorite Chinese dish is Tso's Chicken, so this flavor was definitely my favorite of the night, however, I can't wait to try the Chicken Fried Rice. The packaging is also super convenient as it's made for an individual dish- all you have to do is pop it in the microwave for a few minutes and enjoy a fresh take-out like meal right out of the container... it's even fiance approved!

What I really enjoy most about Tai Pei is how easily it fits into my busy lifestyle.  With an 9-5 job outside of blogging, I feel like I never have enough time in my day, so anything that can save me time is amazing in my book.  By eating these meals, it honestly saves me so much time because they are ready in minutes and fill me up.  I recently starting heating up some instant brown rice in the microwave to make it a full meal for dinner and to spruce it up a little.  There are 10 different microwaveable entrees to choose from as well as potstickers, egg rolls and spring rolls, so I never get sick of eating the same thing over and over.  To try Tai Pei for yourself, click HERE for a coupon!

Flutter Sleeve Cold Shoulder Top

TOPLOFT // SHORTSHudson // SHOESVionic // BAGGiGi New York // EARRINGSBaublebar

Happy Thursday, everyone! Unlike last week this week has flown by! I can't believe it's almost August already, it's crazy how much time really flies by... before we know it, it will be fall!  While it's still summer and still warm, I have been loving this fun flutter sleeve cold shoulder top from the Loft.  Currently it's 40% off making it only $35, and the colors are even more pretty in person! I would recommend sizing down a size as it does run a little big, and it's flowy (I'm wearing an XS for reference!) I paired it with these super comfortable heels by Vionic that also come in black and animal print that are on sale!  If you aren't into heels because they hurt, these are known for being super comfortable due to the cushioned footpad.

On another note, has everyone been shopping the Nordstrom sale?! I know a lot of people have been saying things are selling out quickly, but I have a bunch of stuff posted on my Instagram that are still in stock in multiple sizes-- head there to check them out!! I am hoping to go back this weekend once there is another restock, so stay posted for more finds! xoxo

3 Ways to Wear Bralettes

This post is sponsored by Kohl’s. I received the featured bralettes as compensation.

Lace, Lace, Lace! Lace bralettes have easily become one of the biggest chic trends around and personally I think they're SO underrated! When you think of a bralette, you probably think of it as a bra, but it's definitely more of a layering piece and can look super cute in so many different ways. I recently picked up some adorable little lace ones from Kohl's, and the best part was they were on sale and super affordable. Kohls has tons of styles including brands like Candies, Maidenform, SO and Lily of France. I picked up this purple one, this black high neck lace one and this cream colored one all for under $40!

Now how do we go about styling these pretty little things? Here are 3 of my favorite ways:

Option 1: The high-neck bralette can easily be a great replacement for a necklace. I like to pair my high-neck black bralette with a white v-neck tee and a pair of cut off denim shorts for an easy and casual but put together look. Shop high-neck bralettes here.

Option 2: A sheer shirt can sometimes be confusing and many times people ask me what they should pair underneath it. A bralette is the perfect thing to layer underneath and it's no longer challenging or sad to give up the sheer shirt you really want to buy. Shop perfect bralettes for under a sheer shirt here

Option 3: Wearing a bralette as a top! Yes, I know this may sound odd and a little revealing, but if done well, it can look super chic! Not all bralettes should be worn as crop tops, but one like this or this would look adorable with a high waisted skirt or pair of shorts. I also think a button up shirt tied at the bottom would be just as cute with this look! Shop crop top bralettes here

Another thing I really love about these bralettes is how lightweight and comfortable they are. There is little to no padding, and no underwire so they feel soft and snug against the skin. I also think they get a bad stigma for people who are larger-chested, but I always recommend just throwing on a strapless bra underneath for extra support if needed! You'd be surprised on how well these hold up.

Kohls is always running great sales and promotions, so make sure to check for any coupons in your local store or online!

Lilly Love in Sea Shells

TWO PIECELilly Pulitzer // WEDGESJeffrey Campbell // BAGRebecca Minkoff // EARRINGSBaublebar // BRACELETDavid Yurman

Happy Tuesday!  It's only Tuesday and I feel like this week is flying by... so much to do, so little time.  I was in NYC pretty much all of last week, with tons of meetings and events so I was hoping to have a much more relaxing week this week, but so far that hasn't been the case!

One of my favorite outfits so far this summer has got to be this adorable shell print two piece from Lilly Pulitzer.  I am bias, maybe because I love Lilly a little too much, but how fun is the print and scalloped hem?!  In some photos it's hard to tell it's a two piece, so it's definitely more of a 'conservative' crop top and skirt duo.  It also fits TTS (I am wearing a 4!)  I paired it with these Baublebar earrings and they were absolutely perfect because there are little shells on them as well.  This outfit would be right on point for a tropical vacation, I will for sure be taking this with me down to Florida next fall.

Also, don't forget! There is a Nordstrom gift card giveaway happening now, just in time for the public access!! Head to my last blog post for details on how to enter! xoxo
