Spring Favorites!

With Spring only a month away, it's time to start shopping for the perfect spring time shoe.  There is an overwhelming amount of cute pairs out there right now, so I thought I would narrow it down to 8 of my absolute favorites to make it a little easier on you!

I have these wedges in an older style (I almost like the new style better!) that I literally wear with everything from dresses to jeans to shorts all spring and summer long.  They are one of the most comfortable wedges I own and every time I wear them, I get SO many compliments.  They sold out super quick last year, so I highly recommend purchasing them ASAP if they are on your wish list.  I also just recently purchased these wedges and I have to say, they are really comfortable as well.  They come in 5 different colors (I want them all) and fit true to size.  I was a little hesitant of the platform size, but got over that as soon as I tried them on.  They make you taller and your legs look longer (what more could you ask for!?)

Both these and these are on my wish list and next on my list to purchase.  I always love adding a fun pattern on pop of color to a neutral outfit, so these will be the perfect option for that.  Floral print is super in this spring and I'm not surprised- everything is just so stinkin cute!!

What pair is your favorite?! xoxo

Wine Lover Vibes...

TANK TOP: NM Last Call (on sale!) // JEANS: Nordstrom // CARDIGAN: Rue21 c/o // BAG: Gucci // BOOTIES: Rag and Bone (same booties, different color) // EARRINGS: Trending Above c/o

Today's look is all about the wine lover vibe! I am a huge rose lover, so when I saw this tank I new I had to have it.  I found it on sale for under $25 and comes in another color as well.  It went perfect with this adorable cardigan by Wild Blue denim and a pair of white skinny jeans, however it would also look adorable with shorts in the summer. I am also really into the white on white trend, especially in winter but I am getting super antsy and ready for spring to be here!

I am also a huge fan of the Rag and Bone Newbury booties.  I own two pairs, and I swear they are the most comfortable booties I own-- they feel like butter! Mine are any older style, but they do still sell them in many different colors.  They are a on the pricer side, but I've had these for 3 years now and they are still in such good shape... so I really believe they are great investment shoe.

Did anyone do anything fun for Valentines day?! My boyfriend and I went to Ditka's restaurant in Chicago... they have the BEST prime rib (and banana creme pie!). xoxo

The Perfect SUNDRESS...

DRESSSUNDRESS // WEDGESJeffrey Campbell // BRACELETSJ. Crew Factory and David Yurman // RINGMichael Kors // SUNGLASSESILY Couture

Happy Monday! I just got back from an exciting weekend in New York for Fashion Week.  It was a short weekend, but jam packed with meetings, shows and events, plus I got to hang out with some of my favorite blogger besties from Chicago.  I was a little hesitant to go in February because of the cold and because I was told it was "smaller" than the week in September, but I am so glad I went.  More on that soon!

This dress is one of my favorites and perfect for summer.  I recently wore it on my trip to Florida and got so many compliments on it, I can't wait to wear it again.  Sundress is one of my favorite brands for cute swimsuit coverups for the beach, but this specific dress could be worn either as a beach coverup or a fun daytime dress.  I am obsessed with the tassels and of course, the off the shoulder.  Another thing I am especially loving right now, is this David Yurman cable bracelet my boyfriend got for me for Christmas.  The pearl caps are perfect for incorporating it into an everyday outfit, and I know this is a bracelet that will be in style for a very, very long time!

I hope everyone had a great weekend!! xoxo

My Designer Dream Bag w/ Trendlee

TOPWild Blue Denim // JEANSNordstrom // BAGTrendlee (use code MIDWEST for 5% off!) // BOOTIESRag and Bone (same style, different color) // EARRINGSTrending Above (currently 15% off!)

For as long as I can remember, I have wanted a Chanel bag.  I literally used to (and still do!) dream about the day when I can own a classic Chanel quilted bag, but let's be real- the cost of one is like a mortgage payment on my condo!  I truly consider myself a budget shopper, so to justify spending thousands and thousands on a handbag, just doesn't seem right to me... until now.

I recently found this amazing site- Trendlee, who carries all sorts of gently used designer handbags for half (if not more) the price of the originals.  Since all of the bags give you a description of exactly what your getting (condition- great, excellent, good) you know you're getting a great bag at an even greater price. Yes, the bag was still expensive (some Chanel bags retails 6k+!) but it's truly a classic that I believe will be a staple in your closet forever.  It's funny because I literally feel SO much classier even carrying this bag... I never even knew that was possible!

Lucky for you, Trendlee is giving all of my followers 5% off their already amazing prices on any bag you wish! Use code "MIDWEST" at checkout, and voila! a gently-used gorgeous bag will be to you in just a couple days.  I have already been eyeing up a new YSL bag, maybe I will save that for an early summer present to myself :)

Which bag is your dream bag?! xoxo

Spring Floral Maxi

DRESS: Billabong // EARRINGS: Baublebar // SANDALS: Tory Burch // BRACELETS: David Yurman and J. Crew Factory // BAG: Kate Spade (similar) // RING: Kendra Scott

Happy Friday, babes! The weekend is finally here and the sun is shining... such a perfect combo! Even though it's not quite warm enough to wear this maxi dress (let's be honest- it's about 20 degrees here currently) I just couldn't wait to show you all.  Whether you're going on Spring Break (that's still a thing right?!) or getting ready for the warm weather to come, this dress is perfect for that!  When I think of Billabong, I think back to my middle school days... funny how things come back around full circle... but I had to have this dress (plus it's under $100!)  I, of course, am I huge sucker for anything off the shoulder, so this dress fit the bill perfectly.  I also couldn't get over the gorgeous floral print and how comfy and lightweight this dress is on.  I paired it with my favorite Tory Burch sandals, these amazing Baublebar earrings, and a pretty little Kate Spade cross body.  My bag is older, but I found a super similar one here.

I hope everyone has a great weekend! Does anyone have any fun plans?! xoxo

Getting Ready for Valentine's Day with Civello Salon & Spa

Happy Tuesday and last day of January! I swear it feels like January flew by, can you believe it's almost time for Valentine's day?!  I was at the store the other day, and all of the shelves are stocked full of pink valentine's goodies... which kind of makes me miss the good old days where we'd pass out Valentine's to everyone in our class.

To get ready for Valentine's day, I've partnered up Civello Salon & Spa in Lincoln Park, the flagship location to their Canadian stores. If you live in the Chicago area, you must stop by this salon if you want to a full on pampered experience and feel like a princess for the day.  I was blown away the minute I stepped foot in the salon.  It's an Aveda salon (my absolute favorite) so right away it smelled like Heaven.  First, I got whisked off to my chair and was offered complimentary tea, water or coffee.  Jenn, the master colorist of the salon, was the one did the color on my hair.  I recently received some Bellami extensions (because I am an avid hair-extension wearer, if you didn't know) and I wanted them to match perfectly.  Since the extensions were ombre, and my natural hair is already some-what ombre, I had her lighten the ends and darken my faded roots.  The end result was absolutely gorgeous.  I was amazed at how good my hair looked and felt after getting the ends lightened, as it still felt super soft and didn't look damaged.  The assistants also did an amazing job of making me feel relaxed and pampered.  I received both a neck and hand massage throughout my time there, as well as an amazing head massage with the wash.  I didn't want to leave the chair!

After my color service, I was introduced to Deron, a hair cutting expert, to trim my hair and blend in the extensions.  He did a phenomenal job blending them to make sure my natural hair wasn't obvious and didn't go overboard with the cut (I am trying to grow my hair out!)  He was also very knowledgeable and explained things about the extensions that I didn't even know after 7 years of wearing them.

Valentine's day is only 14 days away and luckily for you, Civello now offers extended hours to make sure they can accommodate anyone's schedule and give them an all-over relaxing experience.   The salon and spa offer an array of services ranging from hair care to facials to nails, body polishes, massages and so much more.  I can't wait to return to try their Tulasara facial (I've heard so many amazing things!)  To get pampered and ready for Valentine's day this year (whether you're hanging with girlfriends or going out with that special someone) I recommend scheduling an appointment at Civello to get your hair blown out and your nails freshly polished.  I can't promise you'll make your date because you may never want to leave!

You can find Civello Salon and Spa at 1001 W. North Avenue in Lincoln Park (right by the whole foods!) If you're a new guest, you can get $20 off your first service here: New Guest, ask for either Jen or Deron and be ready to be amazed! xoxo
