Denim Dress & First Week of Fall...

DRESS: Piscola // SHOES: Forever 21 // BAG: Barrington Gifts // CHOKER: Forever 21 // WATCH: Daniel Wellington (use code 'marvelous' for 15% off!) // BRACELET: Stella and Dot // RING: Michael Kors

Happy Wednesday and first week of Fall!! I can't believe that fall is actually here... despite the fact that it's still in the high 70s/80s in Chicago.  I am getting so excited for all things fall that I bought some Pumpkin Spice 'Special K' cereal this morning for breakfast- and it's SO good!  If you live near an Argo Tea, I highly recommend their Pumpkin Chai.  I am not a coffee drinker, but this stuff will get you addicted fast.  Speaking of fall, I am loving this dress by Piscola, which is perfect for fall and would look just as cute with some tall boots and a cardigan.  The fray detailing on the hem and sleeves is what immediately drew me to this dress because it's so chic and effortless, not to mention extremely soft and comfortable.  I also recently received my second St. Anne's tote from Barrington Gifts and I am lovinggggg these colors for fall.  It's so fun to go on the site and create your own bag, but it's such a hard decision... I think it took me an hour just to finally decide which design and colors I wanted to go with and I am SO happy with the final result! :)

On an other note, I just started watching the JonBenet Ramsey docuseries and I am hooked.  Is anyone else watching?!  It's so crazy that after 20 years, they're still trying to break the case.  I can't wait to see what happens next!  If you're not familiar, it's on CBS!

Chambray and Lace...

TOP: Back East Boutique c/o (use code "marvelous10" for 10% off!) // JEANS: Topshop // BAG: Forever 21 // WATCH: Daniel Wellington (use code 'marvelous' for 15% off!) // BRACELET: Loren Hope // RING: Kendra Scott // SHOES: Nordstrom

I am pretty sure I have an obsession with anything chambray and lace, so when I received this top from Back East Boutique I was super excited!  I decided to pair it with white jeans (because I love to wear white any time of the year) but I also tried it with regular denim and it looked just as good!  I use to be afraid of trying to denim on denim trend, but I think if it's done right it can look awesome... plus this "denim" is more of a lighter shade. Back East Boutique has an array of the cutest clothes and accessories, and currently they are giving my readers 10% off their purchase with code 'marvelous10'!

On another note... these flats are sadly sold out :( (thanks Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!) however they still come in tons of other colors and patterns.  I definitely want the burgundy and tan pairs for fall!  xoxo

Pre-Fall Olive & Neutrals

TOP: Waverly Grey (c/o) (Similar HERE) // SHORTS: A Gold E // SHOES: Imelda Marcos' Shoes (c/o) (use code 'marvelous10' for 10% off!) // CLUTCH: Etsy (similar HERE) // NECKLACE: Love Always by Syd (2XL) // WATCH: Daniel Wellington (c/o) (use code "MARVELOUS" for 15% off!) // BRACELETS: Stella and Dot and Loren Hope // RING: Kendra Scott

I just got back to Chicago after being in NYC for the past week, and the thought of unpacking is giving me a ton of anxiety, ha ha.  All of the events I attended were nice enough to give out so many amazing sponsored gifts, so it's safe to say I came home with a bag two times larger than the one I originally packed!

It's been awhile since I've posted, but I am dedicated to bringing more content frequently- starting with this amazing outfit that is the perfect pre-fall transitional.  A while back I was introduced to the online shoe boutique Imelda Marcos' Shoes, and I fell in love with these suede peep toe booties by Steve Madden.  They look like they'd be hard to walk in/ not so comfortable, but let me tell ya- they are actually not so bad!  I think the bootie aspect of them creates a more comfortable shoe, and while the heel is high, I didn't feel like I would be tripping over myself like I do with a lot of other heels!  Currently, Imelda Marco's Shoes are offering my readers 10% off their entire purchase with code 'marvelous10', so hurry up and grab a pair before they're gone!!  This boutique offers a range of well-known brands such as Chinese Laundry, Nine West and of course Steve Madden.

I also love this olive tank by Waverly Grey, which is also the perfect piece for summer and fall.  I can't wait to pair it with a cute cardigan and a pair of denim jeans, and the fact that it's silk makes it even that much better.  Olive green is definitely one of my favorite colors this season, and there is something about olive green and cheetah print that gets me every time.

Also... TGIF!! Hope everyone has a great weekend! xoxo

Kickstartin' with XO Marshmallow

Hi Everyone! My NYFW is officially over and I am headed back home to Chicago.  I had such a great time meeting and reuniting with so many familiar faces, I can't wait to go again next year! I will be doing a recap soon, but first I want to introduce you to XO Marshmallows, a local company in Chicago that makes incredible handmade marshmallows... because who doesn't love marshmallows?!

I grew up loving marshmallows... always choosing every dessert that included them, as well as eating them just out of the bag. It's safe to say I had and still have a marshmallow addiction! XO Marshmallow is ran by Lindzi (of the Trendy Sparrow) and Kat, who have created the perfect marshmallows including flavors like Salted Carmel, Honey Bourbon and Champagne, and their newest mallow creations; the Monuts.  The Monuts are the perfect mug topper for any coffee or hot chocolate.  I like to fill my hot chocolate with marshmallows, and keep refilling until it's gone, but the Monut melts perfectly into the mug and gives an equal distribution of yumminess!

I personally got to try the cocoa dusted and the vanilla flavor Monuts, and both were fabulous.  I love the sweetness in the vanilla (perfect for a hot chocolate) and the cocoa flavor in the cocoa dusted which I believe would be amazing in coffee. (I don't drink coffee, but let me know how it is if you try!)  Another plus to these sweet treats is that they are completely gluten free, egg free, preservative free and high-fructose free- meaning anyone and everyone can pretty much enjoy them!

Kat and Lindzi just launched a Kickstarter campaign and would love to get your help in raising money to take this amazing company even further.  You can pledge any amount you'd like and some even come with rewards such as your own Monuts or even an adorable XO mug!  All of the pledge money will go to producing more amazing products and expanding the business to meet the demand of all the marshmallow-lovers out there.

To pledge, go to the Kickstarter page and enter in the amount you'd like, or select a specific reward.  I promise, you're going to love them! xoxo

Even though it's after Labor Day I still feel like it's the middle of summer here.  It is SO hot this week and is supposed to be just as warm next, as much as I love it, I am really looking forward to the fall weather.  I loved wearing this kimono over the weekend because of how light and flowy it is.  A Cut Above Boutique is absolutely adorable; they sell graphic tees, dresses, accessories and a lot more.  I recently got this kimono and the colors are even prettier in person than in the pictures. I also am obsessed with these little cactus earrings, they are so delicate and chic!

On another note, 1 more day till I am in NYC for Fashion Week!! I am so excited, but also super stressed out with last minute details of putting everything together.  I can't wait to show you all the fun things I am doing while there, so make sure to follow me on snap chat (arac03)!! xoxo

Ways to Wear White in the Fall...

I personally am an avid believer of being able to wear white after Labor Day and into the Fall and Winter seasons, as white is a color that can look super chic if done the right way!

In the fall, I usually pair a big chunky white sweater like this one, with a pair of leather leggings and some booties.  I love the contrast of black and white and the leather leggings can really dress it up if wearing from daytime to night.  I also love a good pair of white denim (preferably off-white, not stark white) with a tan fur vest.  I usually wear a fall-ish color underneath, like a burgundy (my current fav) or olive green turtleneck.  I honestly live by this look in the colder months; it's so easy to put together and looks great on just about anyone.  For a little bit of a dressier look, I pair a cute button down white skirt with a rich burgundy blazer- and a pair of knee high boots!  I am obsessing over this blazer and believe it's the perfect fall staple your closet needs.  Speaking of blazers, I also really like this white/black combo blazer paired with dark denim.  Again, super easy for dressing up or down, wearing to work or out with girlfriends for happy hour.

All of these outfits would be adorable with this white saddlebag and Kendra Scott Rayne necklace.  I own the white one myself and literally wear it with just about everything.  The white stone has some marblization to it, so it also is not a stark white.

Do you wear white after Labor Day?! I would love to hear your thoughts!
